waaaay too many hotels and the profits all go out of state . then we gotta bail these guys out with tax credits etc.

Time for another plan involving a future for local people not involving licking tourist feet and a real education system.

I feel for Brian, at least he tried, but I know he will bounce back and become a leader again in developing real estate for our Hawaii's communities!!

I don't feel any sympathy for him and Coconut Grove. It's been severely mis-managed for a long time. What once had the Hard Rock Cafe and many small, vibrant businesses is now half empty. Duh! Half empty for this prime retail area means THE RENTS ARE TOO HIGH! Simple. Get the rent to where local people can start and run businesses and you'll see less vacancies, more visitors, and, yes, in the end more revenue. It really seems like they'd rather stick to their high rents and bankrupt every business in the place.

This guy was stretched beyond hope all the properties he touched went in the crapper.

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Cancer

You could struggle to display your feelings and emotions at the moment. Being so sensitive, the smallest things could hurt your feelings, but no one else is likely to realise since you retreat into your shell at these times. This will not be a conscious decision, and you'll feel frustrated at your inability to explain the hurt you suffer.
