The Mormon Church is full of wonderful, caring people that have a sense of morality about them. Myself, I am a Baptist, but I applaud their efforts in California. The homosexuals lost. They should suck it up and accept that they will not be able to distort the institution of marriage. I urge all of you who agree with my statements to contact your Senators and Congressmen and urge them to push for a Constitutional Convention. This would afford us the opportunity to put a permanet stop to the agenda of the American Homosexual.

I just cant see how this so called church (cult) can judge the gay community like this. I thought that the church believed in free agency. I must have been wrong with this because I always thought that we had the right to choose but with every choice there is a consequence. I also think that they are a bit hypocritical with this stance also. I mean look at the churches past with polygamy. I know that it isn't practiced now but, the church has always said that they must follow the rules of the land. when Joseph Smith was alive though he had many wives and it was illegal then.

"three cheers for the mormon church, just think what the baptist could do if they would get off their butts " If it's anything like now, that would be, commit adultery, drive drunk, say their sorry, and get off the hook. That's nothing new, that's baptist anarchy. That's already widespread anywhere baptists go. They have a divorce rate of 28%. For the nation at large, it's 19%. I guess, that means you'd be opening up a divorce court and using the judges instead of a constitutional convention, but for divorce settlements, right? A-men, brother? Say you're sorry for repentance, and that's all you have to do? Prisons would empty in minutes, right? As long as you don't speak in tongues.

There is a movement in place to put homosexuals in prison. If our Constitutional Amendment is successful in WV in 2 years, not only will it ban marriage and adoption by gays, it will declare that homosexual acts are punishable by up to one year in the county jail. There is strong and I mean strong baptist support for this movement. This is a way to keep known homosexuals from pushing their agenda on the public. If they march and are holding hands or kissing or embracing, don't worry about it....they can be jailed and that will surely shut them up. See how far there message gets them in jail. Let's just say, "don't drop the soap."

"it will declare that homosexual acts are punishable by up to one year in the county jail. " The SCOTUS decides constitutionality, and it said those acts are not illegal. If Wv passes that law, it will be nothing but a pyrrhic victory for the radical right. Even their right wing court doesn't agree with them. Funny too, how Ken Mehlman, practicing gay, was running the party against it, right? Kinda makes you realize it was just rabble rousing. I don't agree with the pro-gay thing in MA, as I've listened to their tapes, and it seemed like they were trying to convert people, rather than objectively explain. Butthat doesn't look to be the case among most gays in wV. Are you saying, that in WV there are people crazy enough to try and defy the SCOTUS and put people in jail for it? do you have a web link for that? "ee how far there message gets them in jail." If only we could do that with baptists, the divorce rate would drop for those people by a third.

Sit back and watch what we put before the voters. There is major support for an amendement to the state constitution to criminalize homosexual acts and ban same-sex marriage and adoptions. If the homosexuals don't like it, they can move.

Anyone who would blame prop 8 on the mormons is an uninformed idiot. It all the mormons in the country were the ONLY ones voting for prop 8 it could not have come CLOSE to passing. So blame it on the mormons you idiot! Why don't you get a life and become informed.

You all are idiots to be so concerned what others do behind closed doors. It doesn't affect you. I thought God taught to be tolerant of others and not to judge. You hypocrites are in for a rude awakening when you arrive at the pearly gates.

I guess you weren't really LDS all your life. The church did not discriminate against homosexuals or their rights, they just didn't want a sacred union to be legalized in a way that was contrary to the teachings of God. The church has said they have no problem with things like health benefits, etc. to be the same with same-sex couples. The issue is the term "marriage." And no one was forced to donate anything. But you do have the right to choose, and you can leave the church if you so desire.

I'm not even a Mormon and it sounds to me like you never were a crappy one. You probably just wanted an excuse to stop living that strict life style they have. I don't live it, but I do admire it. Oh, and yes! God does teach us all to be tolerant, but he doesn't teach us to sit back and watch while certain groups try to destroy the family. Everybody that voted "Yes" did so because they wanted to protect the definition of Marriage, not because they were, "Intolerant." Why do homosexuals take it so personally?!?

In your dreams. There is no major support for your kind of hatred. Why don't you try to do something constructive? Like earn the love of your own homosexual son back that you disowned. As far as I am concerned you have lost all rights to voice an opinion as a good citizen or a good parent. You are neither... and someday you will be just a lonely old woman with no one around to listen to you rant and rave. You are not trying to protect anything. You are doing what you have accused the gay community of... trying to force your opinion down other peoples throats. Trying to change what cannot be changed. Your posts literally make me angry and sad at the same time.

And what goes for some should go for all. If you want to ban the term 'marriage' for some people, ban it for all people. Then there would be no divorce rate at all. Instead of jailing homosexuals for being born homosexual, let's jail the haters, just because they hate. And how shall we pay for the new prisons to house the haters. Let the religions, be they baptist, mormon or whatever religion that created these haters build the prisons to keep them in from their collection plates.

Let's just put all the queer baits in jail. I like that better.

If I was forced to marry a girl or woman it just wouldnt be real love. I would be a hypocrite,a repressed religious bigot.real good christians are honest about inner feelings and dont repress it,just confess it,be forgiven, and ask God to make me a Female Cosmic Aura where he will consider me a female and I wont be called a Homosexual anymore, because Im forgiven by Jesus.

Marriage is more than a man and woman or child, its true Love between two human beings in a covenant relationship. I can make that covenant with who i want even if he is a male and I am too. God will consider it,but religious old testament minded people will only judge. The old testament of levitcus where anti homosexuality was,was because God wanted Israel to start out as a heterosexual family nation, so they would populate and all those commandments were for Israel, but are examples to us other nations, although do not fully apply to us now days under the new covenant in jesus. he forgives our sin,we can be gay but ask for a female cosmic aura(symbol of sanctification) to in order not to be called Homosexual anymore. Old testamnet days the sanctification was not existent. Now it is in Jesus Christ.

A male no longer is considered a homosexual if he asks God for a female cosmic aura(symbol of sanctification robe) and thus he will be the female joined as one flesh to the other who remains a male aura . A covenant marriage is a must, else its fornication.

Prop 8 did not pass for a number of reasons:It is theologically, biologically and intrinsically wrong. Period. Sheila HTS-I laud your support against gay marriage. I am with you on that one-but, jail time? Isn't that a litle harsh?

As for Pooch, or anyone outhere who advances the cause for gay marriage-YOU ARE WRONG!!!!!!!!!!A child should be subjected to a loving MALE AND FEMALE set of parents. It is a man and a woman who beget life for all-the homosexuals included. If you are afreak of nature, who does not have the common sense to use the equipment you were given-do not force some poor child to have to be part and parcel of your insanity. The healthiest environment, no, the ideal environment, is one of balance. A MAN AND A WOMAN PROVIDE IT-THE MASCULINE WITH THE FEMININE. You are not only theologically incorrect, you are biologically incorrect.
