E. Coli Death Leaves Parents with Questions

This is really sad but what is worse is that she was kept from her mom's side of the family for the past 4 years. Nancy was only a step mother. Her real mother was Teri Gentry. Evie also had 3 sister's and 1 brother. Evie was kept in the dark about her real mother's side of the family for the past 4 years. I hope Tom and Nancy can live with that.

i do not know the mother, i seen the pain she felt at the funeral, maybe tom and nancy was just trying to give evie a more stable life than what her mother could? does the mother have all the other children? where does her mother live?

Bobby-According to court records, Mr. Wray had
custody of Evie. The mother lost custody of
4 of her 5 children. Her family members said she
has been living in canada for the past couple years and has a baby around 1 year old. People at the funeral told me Mr. and Mrs. Wray were really good parents and gave Evie a good life.These same people also said her mother hadn't visited Evie in over three years. My guess is because she was in canada. I saw Mr. and Mrs. Wray and all the other family members at the funeral. They were definitely greiving and by the turn out at the funeral from the community I have to think they were good people. I think we all should pray for all family members on both sides.

I am not sure if who ever wrote this still looks at the feed since it has been so long ago. It is so sad that out of a tragedy some people have to say things like "only a step mother" what does that mean anyway. Is the woman who helps a child with learning to read, cooks, cleans, spends time with, guides, loves, teaches God's grace, any less of a mother than a birth mother? Anyone who knows this family knows that it is built on love. God Bless ALL those who loved this child, may her light filled life guide others to peace.
