It's that time of year, get ready for the drama. Parents already whining that they didn't receive the several papers about basketball sign ups. They also didn't see it on the Facebook page that they like. They are entitled for their irresponsibility and it's some coaches fault that's volunteering his time that they didn't sign their kids up wow.

I have seen it on 1 girls facebook in particular. Get off you ugly ass and take your son to basketball sign-ups. You were given just as much opportunity to sign your kid up as the next parents did. I know for a fact the school sent home 2 flyers about sign-ups. I hope these kids do t have the opportunity to play!

If these kids were from the popular families or friends or relatives of the school board they would be able to sign up late or not. Fairland is hard ass on everyone but the IN crowd. Let these kids PLAY.

Here is a crazy idea, take some responsibility and sign up when you are supposed to, maybe before teams are already picked. After 4 year of Obama, everything thinks they are entitled though, I would bet these same parents will be voting for Obama, go figure.

School board has nothing to do with buddy league. They are independent with Tate as their pres.

These families are from the popular crowd, I hope the league hold their ground. That's why they are so shocked that they can't make their own rules.

There was at least 6 sign ups, 4 in the evenings, and 2 on Saturdays. With that being said, anyone could of picked up a form and brought to you. All kids should be allowed to play, but parents need to be responsible, and shouldn't think that they can sign up whenever is good for them. Once teams are picked, all kinds of adjustments have to be made. This isn't the leagues mistake, it's the parents. Don't go running your mouth saying its unfair, admit you made a mistake and hope that the league makes adjustments. Should be extra concession stand duty for these parents if the league does allow them. It will cost administrators extra time, so why shouldn't these parents have to spend extra time.

If they are the popular crowd then their kids WILL get to play. just wait and see. Fairland will never change.

Amen to ouch!!! There is NO reason a kid couldn't be signed up in the 6 times offered- please remember the coaches had to be at those sign ups and their kids play sports, have extra activities and they work..... But as VOlUNTEERS they make an EFFORT to be there. In the comments above first they said they didn't know then they said they had football games then they said their kids couldn't be there- adjustments could've been made. This is why kids suck today- because they learn procrastination and bullying from their deadbeat parents- if a single mom that works two jobs with no family and tree kids can figure it out, why can't others????

Other kids that played football signed up without any problems. How many more excuses will be made. I agree that all kids should play. I don't agree with their parents mouthing off because they lack responsibility. Why should the league and coaches have to go out of their way for your screw up.
