Old Cheers Building

I heard the other day that Loretta Mooney is going to lease the old Cheers building to the owners of Club Envy (Beckley). Rumor is it will be Club Envy 2. Anyone have information on this?

Loretta Mooney owns the building. Doc leases it from her.

I heard smoke opening a bar up in there.

Sounds like a place the police might as well just park outside of from opening night on. Life is too short to get shot up in a lousy club.

hell when it was the old cheers back in the day it was not a surprise for atleast one if not two or three cops to be sitting in the parking lot waiting on a fight to break out!!!!!!!!!!

FHA, you have no idea what you are talking about. I worked for Mrs. Mooney and her late husband many years ago and they both were fantastic people and gave a lot of young people an opportunity that they wouldn't have had otherwise. If you have notheing to say just keep it to yourself.

She is a mean crotchety woman.She may have been fantastic before but she is rude and hateful now.

it's going to be called the Rainbow Room and its a gay frienly bar, but everyone is welcome!

Opening mid February, they are getting licenses set up now.

Its gonna be a great asset to the area and really do a lot for the community.

You gotta be shitting me , I just talked to Terry about 3 weeks ago , and he told me HE was the one doing all the work to the place , and some low-life scrapper stole his cooler off the porch , I hope , with all that is holy , that a FAG-BAR is not what is going to happen to one of the coolest spots in Princeton , that would be a total disgrace to the "Cheers" history....

Surely Terry wouldn't waste his time and money and reputation on a FagBar! I thought all bars were "FagFriendly" except for the Last Resort. Terry is smarter than this.....LoL
