These boys get out there and give their hearts at practice. They all are good kids. While I doubt if anyone on the team is going to the NFL, winning isn't everything.They are having a good time, staying out of trouble and are good students. If you call that a joke, then maybe you should become one.

I believe if they had a better little league in the areas these kids come up from, it would do wonders for them. I thought I saw in the schedule the other day that they weren't playing Bluefield. That's a shame since the two schools are so close and in the same division.

Actually, lol your joke won both of their games in their preseason grid and their season opener! This same group of kids beat Princeton Middle School when they were in that age group, so your joke just might not be so funny this year! MAYBE YOU NEED TO GET OUT THERE WITH THEM FOR A PRACTICE OR TWO, DON'T THINK YOU WOULD BE LAUGHING WHEN A COUPLE OF THOSE LINEMEN GOT DONE WITH YOU!!!

I'm not sure but I THINK PikeView is classified as a "double A" school and Bluefield is "single A."Like I said, Im not sure. I think Bluefield and Princeton continue to play because there is a rivalry and the coaches know the fans will come out for the game, even though they are in different divisions.I'd say if the two coaches wanted a match-up, they may be able to work each other in, even though its my understanding the schedules are made up a year or two in advance. Its something to think about for the future.

Even though my son plays for Princeton, I wish the Panthers the best of luck this season. I know the kids on that team and they deserve a winning season.

Both Bluefield and Pikeview are AA. You're correct about the Bluefield, Princeton game. Princeton has nothing to gain and everything to lose by playing Bluefield, but it's a big money maker for both schools and I don't see them not playing unless Bluefield ends up dropping to a single A school.

You are correct--both are double A schools. And if you think about it,would Bluefield gain anything by playing PikeView? Kind of like Princeton (and Bluefield) nothing to gain and everything to lose.

PikeView HAS NOT ALWAYS BEEN a joke....You obviously weren'ta round when the school first opened....they dominated in almost every sport they played.

IDK if the reason PV and Blfd don't play each other is the same, but in 2000 they were banned from playing each other in any sport except tournaments.

The main reason thier not playing Bluefiels is Bluefield is going with a stroger schedule this year. I personaly think its a good call on Coach Damewoods part, he needs a winning season to get the number of players up . I think you all or going to see a turn around in Pikeview football in the next couple of years.the main reason for that is that Coah Damewood and his staff have stayed around more than a year. They are working very hard to make this program better and they should be saluted for thier efforts.

Graybeard, they don't play Bluefield because the WVSSAC doesn't schedule them to play each other. More than likely because Bluefield has the student body numbers to be AAA now, but Simons is scared to play with the big boys so he fights them to keep them from moving back into that bracket!

I just found it odd they're not playing them, especially with the expense of traveling. I do hope they have a winning season.

Hey be careful panther mom when you voice your opinion about someone you might get bashed like "been there" did on Princeton Football forum. Everybody has their opinion they like to voice theirs but damn you if you voice yours. Keep it up, support your boys and their team no matter what anyone says.

I just looked at the numbers. I suppose these are the numbers for last years school term, Pikeview 657 students, Bluefield 659 If those are AAA numbers maybe both schools should be playing the big boys.
