Looks like Goosebearys got kicked out and these people knew they'd be blowing this popsicle joint in the near future too, and wouldn't be moving to new Industrial Park. A LOT of rumors with no facts, other than the house listing (which looks really nice). "I got told" "I heard" "Probably closing". You should be ashamed of yourself. Try this one for size, Einstein. Email them and ask.

Fact: Porter store in Princeton failed. Fact: Porter store on Watson closed after 16 months. Fact: Porter's $1.5 million home is for sale. Fact: I have a right to reasonably assume the Tracy Porter warehouse in Princeton will also close, Tracy Porter will not be opening a warehouse in the Industrial Park, and the Porters are moving out of Ripon. Fact: You're an idiot.

And what business is it yours if all of your facts are true? Are you hurt by it? Or are you just nosy ? Fact: The Porter store was not related to the Porter's business. Fact: You have the right to assume anything that makes you feel important Fact: You would rather spread rumors than get the straight story Fact: You have to resort to name-calling to get your point across. Fact: The lyrics may change, but the tune sounds eerily familiar

What the hell are you talking about? I agree with Commonsense who agreed with me. People have a right to know what's going on with the downtown and how. We have a right to know if another business is pulling out of the promised land industrial park. People have a right to know alot of things about the town they pay taxes in. I wonder why you're taking our rights so personally. No one here is spreading rumor but you appear very afraid of something.
Why don't you find out the truth and post it here for all of us instead of calling names. Your name should be should be THROW UP!
Here's another one of you, Einstein, what's gong on with another one of our mayor's empty promised lands - Sandmar Village? I'm sick of paying for these money suckers.

Why bother to post

1. Gooseberry's moved out about 1 1/2 years ago to their present location. 2. The Tracy Porter store in Ripon was owned by a family member, it was in the local paper. 3. Just because their house is up for sale, may only mean they want a different house in the area. 4. I don't care for T.P.'s stuff, but I hope they continue here in Ripon. 5. Just because different postings by two different names, doesn't mean they are not by the same person attempting to make themselves more important.

1. Many people were told Goosebeary's was more or less forced out of their visible location on the corner due to the rent being raised so ridiculously high they couldn't afford it.
2. It makes people suspicious that this could be done to Goosebeary's when it looks like it was done so Tracy Porter could move in immediately after Goosebeary's left.
3. Many people wonder why, when Tracy Porter store failed in Princeton, a Tracy Porter store was opened in Ripon and closed after about 16 months.
4. It was rumored that the Tracy Porter store was closing and it did. Now it's rumored that the design offices are closing in Ripon too, and so we have every reason to believe it could be true.
5. We also have good reason to believe the Tracy Porter warehouse will not build in Ripon's new magical kingdom/industrial park.
6. We also have good reason to believe, because their $1.5 million home if for sale, that Mr. and Mrs. Porter are moving on and moving from Ripon. Buying another million dollar home in Ripon with the same privacy and beauty as the one they're selling? Don't think so. Highly unlikely.
7. Just because some of the mean spirited posts are made under different names doesn't mean the posts aren't made by the same mean spirited, hate mongering person. That's how I see someone on here who's so afraid of anything bad being said about Ripon.
8. I don't care for Tracy Porter's stuff and apparently neither do alot of others in this area.

It's okay that the Porters move on! It's their right. They didn't use millions of taxpayers' dollars to fund their businesses. It has become the norm that taxpayers' dollars fund millions of dollars to businesses that can't support their own business, by use of government officials. We, the very little people of city will and are paying a price for these greed people, who pretend to own everything but nothing. God Bless the middle class and even the poor class. We are the ones that pay for other mistakes!

It's really very simple. If people don't support what is there in the downtown, it goes away. If rents don't allow profits, you get empty buildings.
