Local ghost tales

Hello
I was wanting to ask everyone if they would tell me about any area ghost stories that they know of. It would help me in my research.

yeah bell witch is probably the most famous. and from what i understand...the new owners claim that there is still activity.

Yes I have heard of both of those haunts. We did an investigation on gavity hill but did not get much. I think the bell witch would be neat to look into.

the bell witch is an amazing story. i've reasearched it a great deal, compiled two research papers on the subject, and gave a presentation and speech on it. very awesome, but very creepy.

I know they give tours there. Have you been there?

no...i haven't had the opportunity to go yet. but i do know that the tours are seasonal. the tours are famous...lots of spooky things have happened to people on the tours. i'd like to go.

The tours of the cave begin sometime in May and end on Halloween Night. Always call ahead of tie to make sure they are giving the tours, if there is alot of rain they will cancel them and that is a long winding road to travel to have to turn back around and come home. I have been there several times, the owner Kris is a wonderful woman with many graet stories and photos. Also I have heard a story of a family in Princeton area back in the 1800's, early part I believe that just totally disappeared. Their house was as they had left it and no one knew what happened. Nothing missing, table set for breakfast or dinner all clothes in the house. I am not sure of the family name but was told the house was possibly tore down but a lot of folks claim to have seen a female in white in the house and a male out in the yard gardening and they disappear when you approach them.

That would be the Harpending house. I heard stories about it, but never saw anything but the ruins of it

lick creek church was a very active place. the church is gone now, but im sure the lot is still a hot spot to investigate.

I understand the hapending house is now posted, but you are correct on most of the history. There is a book called the great diamond hoax, it tells a lot on the family and its history. There are many great places in and around caldwell to check out, but some people are a little skittish.

I've heard that two men can be seen walking on a porch at the old blue house on Blue Springs Road.Has anybody else
seen them ?

there is also the Beck house which is by the Prision Farm... I have been out there several times and seen some crazy stuff.
