DON'T JUDGE ALL CHURCH MEMBERS the same.Not all people that go to church,are Christians.It's the ones that go & are NOT Christian & act bad outside church,that gives Christians a bad name.If the ones that call themselves Christian & are NOT,when they die,they will stand before GOD as a lost soul & they won't be able to use anyone as a excuse,why they didn't accept CHRIST for their forgiveness,of their sins against Him & this goes for the ones that used the actions of some church goers for NOT going to church & NOT finding out how to get their life right with God,through Christ.The reason Christian people stand against drinking alcohol,is because Gods word in the Holy Bible tells us to.People want to use the fact that wine is in the Bible,but wine back then,didn't have the yeast & sugar added to it,so then a person could drink a glass or so & not get drunk,like the wine now days.The wine started out as plain grape juice & then when the wine got old,it did ferment,but again,it wasn't strong like the wine made today.God also told people to stay away from the wine that was fermented.You can find that in Proverbs 23 verse 31 & 32 which reads "Look not thou upon the wine when it is red,when it giveth his colour in the cup,when it moveth itself aright".Verse 32 "At the last it biteth like a serpent and stingeth like an adder".People need to know that the wine started out as pure grape juice & fermented as it got older,just like any fruit juice will do when it gets old,but God tells us to stay away from the fermented wine.The fermented wine back in Bible times,still wasn't as strong as,the wine now days that has yeast & sugar added to it.You would have to drink gallons to get drunk on the fermented wine back then.Gods word also tells us to take care of the weak that can't take care of themselves & this is another reason we don't want alcohol in our town Romans 15 verse 1 reads "We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak,and not to please ourseles".There are so many people that has ruint there lives by drinking & there are recovering alcoholics in communities,that have fought hard to stay sober.When alcohol is brought in the town they live,it makes the temptation much greater.Why should they have to be so tempted,when they go to pay for their gas & shop for groceries? One drink would put them back & each time they fall,it makes it much harder to quit & some are never able to.I know of 3 recovering alcoholics,which have made a good life for themselves,but it wasn't easy for them,because they fight daily NOT to drink & if they was to have a weak moment & with a drink being close,they might take that drink before thinking & then it's right back to drinking all the time.The Bible tells us "We are our brothers keeper" So many says,don't worry about what goes on,if you don't want to do it,don't and if you don't,it doesn't effect you.It does effect us all,when a town,state or a nation as a whole goes against Gods word.Look at this nation,it was built on Gods word and His will & this is why the good ole USA was so blessed,because the government of this nation built it on Gods word & Wll.Since the government & so many people as turned away from God,this Nation has went down hill & continues to go down.When we have a president & a congress that stands for same sex marriage,pushing for more abortion & this is just a few things that is against God,we will keep going down,so what we do as a whole,it does affects us all.The one thing that you can do that will affect you alone,is NOT accepting Christ for forgiveness of your sins.When you have one sin against God,you must have forgiveness or you will go to Hell.This is Gods word,not mine.You must believe Jesus is Gods son,He was born through a virgin mother,it took Him dying on the cross for your sins & it took His blood shed for the forgiveness of your sins.There's nothing you can do to save yourself,but it's what Jesus has done.Ask Jesus before you die & it be to late!
