Jack English, running for Town Chairman

I live in California, so I don't have a dog in this hunt, but I wanted to pass on my observations on my brother Jack and his run to represent the citizens of Mercer. I have been a policeman for 35 years, thus have long had an interest in local politics. What I have seen is that most people get into these positions for self-serving reasons, to advance a particular agenda or for a career. I believe our founding fathers wanted citizen-representatives....peo ple who served for a short time for the good of their constituants. If you also believe that, Jack is your man. He will listen to all sides of an issue, then do the right thing. He will serve you well.

You don't know Jack! As a principle at Mercer k-12 he did a horrible job. He is by far the worst one Mercer school has seen.

Jack must be a decent man if he devotes his life to politics for the improvement of the town he loves.

Then you have absolutely no clue. How did his replacement that they hired from the Madison area do? How was his replacement's house and family in Mercer? Oh, that's right, he didn't even live in Mercer and continued to live in the Madison area and would "visit" Mercer 3 days a week - what a great choice.

There is currently a person that is pretending to be (Denise & Denise Thompson) that is posting content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, torturous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable about the real person and her business.

A formal complaint has been filed to have this user removed and tracked.

There is only ONE CHAIRMAN in this town. He's the coolest! All others pale in comparison.
