Were the Moors Black?

if you knew of masonry, you would know that moors are "black". true knowledge of self would show you that "black" is not a culture, nor a race. and moor dont mean black, it means navigator.

While I don't know if were black. I do know that no way was the black moors the first to discover America. It was definitely the Asians that did it. Looks at some of the similarities between indigenous people and Asians.

But by conjuring BS facts about Moors in America makes me wonder if the Moors were majority black or black ruled. I'm sure the Moors had probably a large percentage of dark skin people amongst their rank and file but, were they the ones calling the shots.

Yes, there may have been sub-saharan Africans (blacks) among the Berbers who invaded Spain, but it is beyond foolish to allege that the Moors were collectively "black."

Good point! I thought the same things. Even if there were blacks in the Ragstas Army, that doesn't mean they were calling the shots.

This is so stupid. My family's name is DeBruin which means "the black" Does that mean they were African? No, It means they were dark featured, with jet black hair, black or blue eyes and dark facial hair and skin. They were normans and I have family lineage in Ireland going back 7 generations.

Trying to base this off of the moors being darker than others is kind of pathetic. Does anyone here even know about the Southern Divide? The sub-saharan africans (black bantus) were seperated from the North of Africa by the desert to the north and the jungle from the center. The only black people in Moorish society were slaves and mercenaries, both groups living lived short and sad lives.
It's pretty much put to rest, that the Moors were white, and I believe the people here have proven this. If you're black and want to know about african history, look up the people of
Timbuktu, very impressive!

If white people are disgusting to you, why live in a country filled with them? You seem like a true hypocrite, or you don't want to admit the sad truth about most african countries, or even Haiti.

I've read many comments posting saying someone is not black in complexion. Can anyone explain that, because I'm from a family of various shades of brown but we are still black. It is hard for me to understand. I think saying not black in complexion is an ignorant statement, being that there are many shades to black. If that were the case many of us would not be considered black.

Reading the remarks made on the post is astounishing. I am studing under moor scientist, presently. With the knowledge I have consumed I would want to point out that it is theoriatically impossible to be "black". The name had been created in this "century era" to gain some kind of control or identity of who we are. It binds us legally because we have given it the name a person that does not exist. It is and always remain ownershp of a corporation that bought into existence in which we claim; black, negro, afro- american, colored and/ or etc. until you are able to originate the word "black" allow yourself enough pride to present yourself as a human being with devine rights and alienable rights outside the "color of law", which is an act performed by fictional/ false jurisdiction under a corporation.
I find that understanding enough to know that in the court of law,(not law of the land or higher courts outside of court) has no bearing over you or your children for years to come if you know your proper title. I refuse to be property under man and not GOD. I have an identity of self image and likens of my God, none other.

You should be very careful as to what you say on this forum. The problem that I have with the WHITE man is that when he says something about (almost) anything that is pertaining to (his) story, hence, the name, we as one race must agree with his baloney. As soon as the truth come out that BLACK where the true innovator about history, the dividers must show their true image.

Calling yourself moor and making insulting comment about the true history about MOOR, you should be very careful as to how to respond.
