Check out other Topix topics on this individual. they point to one thing, Dimon McFerson is bad for Olentangy School District .He was bad for bringing the Blue Jacket to Columbus. Why do I say that??. He put together a scheme to saddle the taxpayers. Nationwide issued the onerous lease with the Blue Jackets under McFerson. While Nationwide profits handsomely with the arena district development the Blue Jackets suffer and want a public bailout. Unfortuneatly, the Blue Jackets are not profitable because Dimon was all about screwing the public. Now the Blue Jackets are crying about their lease payments and they want the public to take over the arena. Where is McFerson's Nationwide?? Strangely silent but they could solve the problem by simply reducing the lease rental. Beam us up McFerson was full of smoke and mirrors on the arena Blue Jacket lease, and he is doing the same thing to Olentangy School District with outlandish benefits and salaries for Administrators and Teachers.

We just have to keep DIMON in the headlines on TOPIX. Eventually more will read and see what he is really all about and that is DIMON.

I thought the Olentangy School District had a website which gave citizens direct access to the school board members. Guess I was wrong, but with DIMON what do you expect he is above the commoners and has to have his own operated by his "family" out of UTAH.

That a former CEO has to be so supreme as a member of the Olentangy School Board. Every one on the Board seems to be afraid of this guy. Don't forget that the OSU Baord of Trustees terminated him from their board for good reason. And Nationwide got rid of him as CEO for another good reason.

With the new projections of 23,000 students by 2012 how can Dimon and his puppets Feasel and King even be thinking about pay raises for Administrators and teachers. Around 73 % of Olentangy taxpayers did not receive a raise in 2009. This says nothing about the thousands of unemployed taxpayers. Mr. McFerson things have changed since you were a big money dilbert at Nationwide. The keep spending and borrowing like there is no tomorrow is over. So Mr money bags how are you going to pay for it all?? Here are a couple of suggestions Implement an impact fee for newbies or at least pay to play for al extracurricular activitees. charge rent for soccer and football that use school fields. Or as a senior Citizen Dimon why don't you propose a bill in the legislature that would cap school property taxes anybody over 65 at the level their property was assessed at the age of 65.

Dimon is cleverly setting the stage for mo home owner property taxes-using all day kindergarten as the reason for new facilities, more administrators etc. and of course large raises or hidden benefit increases for the administrators Dimon get it together the answer is year around schools to free up physical space. But Dimon is a very weathly individuals who has no concept that incresing property taxes hurts a majority of home owners. So Dimon why not an income tax no more property taxes. But would Dimon favor an income tax , hell no he would pay too much money!!!

With all the apartment renters flocking to Olentangy Schools an income tax would be a more fair way to fund the burden the renter's children are placing on our school system. Today, property tax valuations for apartments do not pay a fair share of the tax burden.Olentangy used to love apartments because apartments did not generally have many school aged children. Times have changed and Dimon the district needs to change how it funds the schools!!!!

Please answer the question Dimon.

Hey Dimon and the members of his flock on the Olentangy School Board take note per the Columbus Dispatch Sunday there is a glut of teachers and administrators.. Think about it before you go raising salaries.

Income tax? An income tax? Why should someone who makes more pay more? If you want to make this a "fair share" system, then people should pay taxes per student in the system. 1 child attending -$10K. 2 -$18K 3 -$25K. You get a volume discount.
Just becuase I make more doesn't mean I should pay more into a broken system, especially if I'm not even using it! |

get the Olentangy School Board to implement your recommendation. They cannot do it due to State Law. But they can put forward on the ballot an income tax issue which has elements which are more fair to senior citizens on fixed incomes .An income tax also takes away the free ride from boomerrang families who return with kids to live in Olentangy with mommy and daddy. In addition renters are now the root cause of the increased enrollment in Olentangy school. In a two bedroom apartment you could have 3 kids (more with certain groups )riding on the rest of the taxpayers. In no way do renters really pay their fair share . It used to be that apartments where not a significant source of kids in our shcools. Due to the economy this has changed. An income tax is also an additonal incentive for the very rich like Dimon McFerson and others to think twice before voting for a school levy.

The taxpayers are going to get saddled with Nationwide Arena (created under Dimon McFerson Nationwide CEO) and the Olentangy School District voters have and will continue to get saddled with exorbitant Administrator and Teacher salaries created under Dimon McFerson's influence.
