Olentangy School Board

DIMON MCPHERSON HAS DONE IT AGAIN , co-conspirator with the Superintendent, Wade Lucas to hire from the hicks a former Lucas confidant, Linda Martin.. But the real problem is the bill MCPHERSON is handing off to the taxpayers. Not the upfront bill but the long term bill long after MCPHERSON has sojurned back to his Mormon compound in Utah.(BTW does he file taxes in Utah or Ohio as his place of residency?? and if not should he even be on the School Board??) The 30 year cost to the taxpayer for MS Martins tax sheltered annuity currently at $8032 per year is well over $250,000 and the pick-up of Medicare and State Teachers retirement of $14,825 over 30 years is well over $500,000. MCPHERSON started it all at Nationwide by overcharging the Blue Jackets on the arena rent while making a handsome return for Nationwide. Now Nationwide and the Blue Jackets are trying to dump the problem on the taxpayers.While MCPHERSON has been involved it has been a big dump and run and the hell for the future bill to the taxpayers. DIMON will RIP knowing he stuck it to those less fortunate than him. But what the heck it is just his way of being a missionary to the Schools but letting the taxpayers pay the bill.

The people in this district deserve what they get. They elected the idiot. They deserve for him to screw them every way possible. And he will! No one on the current board has a backbone to stand up to him.

DIMON MCPHERRSON name sounds a little jazzy like Perez Hilton , but that is where substance is lacking. Per Dimon "we leave our personal agendas at the door and carry out the business of the district as presented by the leadership" I question the mans statement /.. Wait a minute he was elected by the taxpayers and there were alot that voted against him and he thinks somehow that his only responsibility is to putting a rubber stamp on the Superintendents whims ( Lucas) without question. Beam us taxpayers up, DIMON has it all wrong. We elected him to be fiscally responsible in over seeing the fox administrators whom somehow manage to present extraordinary benefit packages for DIMON to shepard through the school board. As another poster said most of the school board members are afraid to challenge the almighty DIMON. They are headed by a Weasel named Feasel who has no guts when it comes to standing up against the almighty DIMON. This guy thinks that taxpayers money is the same as corporate money and he has an open ended expense account. I say send the old _art packing. He was "retired" by Nationwide which is basically code for BOOF and he needs to go to the compound and not screw out future by outlandish contract to administrators which make the taxpayers accountable for future millions upon million of dollars. DIMON is indeed the fox in the chicken coop.

Run Dimon run back to Utah. We do not need your assistance.Time to leave just like your leaving the OSU board of trustees position. Better yet just donate a tax free contribution to Olentangy Schools and leave us alone. Please do not burden the taxpayers by "mortaging" our future taxes to pay outlandish benefits to school administrators.

How about a policy for Olentangy administrators no retire and rehire. If you want to retire fine but we will not rehire u. Please feel free to go elsewhere. Kind of like free agency, the board can go out and hire other replacements at a lower cost to the taxpayers and even "retirees" from other districts but not within. Don't forget these double dipper administrators generally have homes in the District and children and do not want to relocate so they try and play hardball with the Board when they really have limited baragaining power, other than their fellow buds who want to double dip in the future and therefore tell the board that they are irreplaceable.

Here they go again Dimon and his little band of School Board members recently gave Olentangy administrators a 2.8% across the board raise to include extra monies for tax free annuities and retirement matches from the district. Thanks Dimon for the free spending the taxpayers money. It is a very sad state of affairs with the School Board when there are many taxpayers without jobs, in foreclosure or bankruptcy or having to take pay cuts and furloughs without pay. But wait the ex Nationwide CEO Dimon thinks his job is to do the what the Superintendent proposes. After all the voters passed the levy and the money is there so why not spend it? Dimon is so brilliant,he can always get another levy, even if the Board has to treaten no busing or sports. Dimon is such a great guy and friend of the taxpayer. He is definately a man on a mission.

How many more lampreys is Wade Lucas going to bring to the Olentangy School District?? It is hard to believe that there were not any qualified administrators within the District to move-up to the Assistant Superintendents job. For that matter why does Wade need an assistant? Why go out to a hick district for another green hire?? Expect that it was part of the that Mr. Secret's agency negotiated as part of the Wade package. When are Olentangy voters going to wake up. We have a mistake on the School board that needs to be corrected otherwise he will bankrupt the district without more , and more and more taxes. Ti him the taxpayers are nothing but a source of tithes.

there is a school board request for an operating Levy it is time to just say NO, South Western has done it many times. We don't have to do it as many times , but need to bring this Board back to reality. They cannot continue the lavish compensation packages which essentially obligates the future next generation taxpayers into higher and higher taxes as salaries grow exponentially.

The President of the Olentangy School Board needs to wake up. Per another website the average salary increase for staff in the Olentangy Schools was 6.5%. This is totally out of sink with the general population and other schools. The Country club atmosphere has got to change.

Ms. Julie WAGNER Feasel, School Board President in name only, has a problem. She was less than truthful and attempted to deceive the taxpayers over the true salary of Wade Lucas. In order to make the Olentangy Superintendents salary appear to be in line with other local districts such as Dublin, Worthington, Arlington and New Albany Ms Julie WAGNER Feasel approved Greg Scott's original representation that Lucas's annual salary was only $196,225 per year. Only after being challenged did Ms Julie WAGNER Feasel come clean, blaming Scott and admitting that Lucas's first year salary is actually $56,000 per year higher ($262,222) which is far above what other well to do districts are paying their superintendents. That woman ,MS Julie WAGNER Feasel should be ashamed of herself and resign or not runb for reelction.If she does run,I urge the voters to repudiate Ms. Julie WAGNER Feasel in the next election.

Is already sending out letters saying in spite of the State of Ohio cutbacks Olentangy intends to meet it's commitment to not seek an operating fund tax increase for three years. That's great Wade you have accepted the McPherson plan hook line and sinker. Did you know Wade that the last operating levy could have gone four years with very small adjustments. Wade you are a kool aid drinker, but what do you expect when , other than Gene Harris,you earn more than any superintendent in the greater Columbus area.
Bought and sold by Dimon McPherson with minimal original thinking. Go back to being a football coach and leave us alone, that is unless you want to have open discussions on expenditures.

Gallagher, Fweasel and Daman love to give taxpayers money away. Daman must have convinced them that the voters are just there to donate 10% minimum so that inept employees can raises even when the voters are hurting .

Hey Wade Lucas did you see where the Worthington Administrators gave up their raises. It would be a nice gesture if you and the Olentangy aministrators did the same.

Why do the members of the Olentangy School Board refuse to answer e-mails or phone calls from any voter/taxpayer who has a question regarding finances, etc.

Julie Feasel, School Board President, has a husband that works in the district and yet she is voting to put bond and operating levies on the ballot and salary increases for personnel, etc.e. Seems like the foxette is taking advantage of her position in an inappropriate manner.

That Galloway, Feasel and McFerson didn't even know how much the Treasurer would make with benefits when they gave out a 2.8% raise last week.. Just more evidence that the Board members continue to swallow the McFerson "cool" aid. Even though they are elected by the taxpayers, the McFerson philosophy is their only responsibility is to do the business of the administrators. When has the board ever turned down a pay raise requested by the Superintendent?? When are they going to look out 10 years and give the taxpayers their estimated property taxes if the salaries of teachers and administrators continue to increase at current rates??

McFerson is an gray haired old ex terminated from Nationwide executive. Look at the salaries that he is approving for his sacred school hires. This guy just doesn't care. He will be long and gone to the Latter Days and we will be stuck with his tax and salary increases.

Scott Galloway only deals in percentages and not dollars when it comes to giving out raises. Shame on you Mr. Galloway, the taxpayers deserve better representation .

Last Time I checked Galloway was a city in the sticks of Franklin County. It is a shame that the Scott Galloway is part of Powell and the Olentangy School District. What does Galloway do to prep for the meetings. Based on the last meeting NOTHING This guy gets paid, then accepts McFersons statements and votes. Talk about the bad. Nationwide is one of those insurance companies that has been ripping off the taxpayers for years and Dimon was the MAN in CHARGE. Why is IN Charge of the Olentagnsy School District.??
