I recently had an oil change in a simple little Cobalt. They charged me $48!! When I asked "why?", they said "that's just what it costs". It has never cost me that much there over the last 20 years. Needless to say, they just lost a customer. I can't believe them.

you sure do have a trash mouth. don't want nothing for free but considering they used to charge 2 bucks to fix a flat, i thought ten was a little steep. i know prices of everything have gone up, but that much, i don't think so. got a flat on my truck and took it roberts bros and they said there was nothing in it, pumped it up and drove it to wise and the tire was flat again. stopped by adams and there was a nail in it. saw it before he even took the tire off the truck. doesn't take a genius, i wouldn't think

Nobody twisted your arm to have him work on your vehicle. You could ask for one of the other guys or do it yourself. Nothing is cheap these days or have you noticed.

MAGGARDS SALES wrote: Maggard sales and service will do you the same way and then laugh at you when you leave.I used to work there and saw it done more than once Sounds like you are a disgruntled employee to me. I have done business with Maggard Sales for the past 16 years. I watched that business go from a little company to where they are today. They have never charged me double nor have I seen them do anyone else that way either. I have even called them out in the middle of the night broke down and never got charged extra or charged a service call. Last winter, no the winter before last, when all the power was out for so long in December, I was out trying to find gas to cook with and went up there. They were there trying to scrape the driveway and get things open for business. They were letting people take stuff with them, propane, tarps, stuff like that, and writing it down on paper trusting that they would come back after the power was back on and settle up. If you consider that crooked business your crazy. Sounds like to me you are just a pissed off X -employee.

I have also done business with Maggard's for years. Good bunch to deal with and have always been honest and fair with me. We do about 20,000 in business with them every month and have never been cheated and like the other guy that posted, they have never charged me an extra dime for coming out in the middle of the night when we have a piece of equipment down.

Does anyone understand inflation? Supply and Demand? Have any of you thought that maybe the businesses mentioned have to pay more for their supplies? Alright kids, that in turn means the business, in response to the rising price of supplies, must raise their prices. A business's purpose is to make money. In today's time it is becoming more difficult everyday for the family owned and small business to compete with the large corporations. It is because people like you who cause these family owned businesses to fail.

I recently had 4 used tires put on my Jeep at a decent price. However, the lug nuts weren't tightened properly and one of the nuts fell off. Now, there is a strange noise in the back end of my Jeep. It sounds like I'm thinking the lost nut is jingling around inside the wheel well now. Loose lug nuts? Sloppy work gentleman.(of course, it's my own fault for not checking to see if they were tight when I left the shop, but I've always believed in professional work by mechanics, etc.)
