Schuylkill discusses prison project

Here we go again instant millionaires. Everytime a prison is built they pay double . Block alone will make another family rich again. Buy direct is theway to go and it wouldsave taxpayers millions. In Schuylkill County the corruption continues.

It would seem that this issue is one for the pahillbilly to post on the other thread.
Im sure he would have something to say about it!

Myself; I think that the commissioners should be removed and jailed, just for the fiasco with the new world systems issue. then you have the pen state issue, and the prison issue.

These two commissioners (mcandrew and gallagher) had this in the works even before they took power.

The people of schuylkill county and especially there in pottsville need to protest or something, and demand that these idiots get removed one way or another. A good start would be to put someone in office that is a people person; an ordinary joe, somebody thats NOT afraid to take them on and then follow through with taking them out.

Remember this come election time!
Instead of voting for lies as usual or the same old names, change the venue!

The corruption in Schuykill County is the worst in the state.White collar crime runs rampid.The local police don't get involved.It is ashame that so many people can get away with extortion,fraud,and robbery.The law in this county would rather deal with petty crimes,such as shoplifting,ect.The big time criminals are free,walking the streets,and getting away with everything they do.Schuykill county has it's own laws,it's all about who you know and what the police "feel" like doing,or not doing.Most of the people in Pottsville jail are sentenced to the extreme.It's all about money.

Most of the people in Schuyl. County jail are in there for drugs, domestic violence and sexual abuse crimes.

Yes this county is known world wide for being the most corrupt place on earth. has been for over 100 years.
The two commissioners are busy trying to steal more money, and not concerned with the jobs they promissed.
the prison is full! and most of the inmates got the max sentence. Instead of the min.and probation and offered help.
Some of them are in there on trumped up charges, and others are in there because a cop or politician had a grudge.

They dont need a new prison; they need to empty the one we have and put real criminals in there.
The ones that are in and out every couple months should go to the state or federal pen.
What happened to the 3 strikes law?

thats the problem! over 90% of the inmates are career criminals and in and out of the system.
if they have money and an atty they get light sentences and time.

the other factor is that when they get put in their families come to the area to be closer.
then we have more problems.

then when they are let out they go right back to doing bad again. why? because there is NO rehabilitation!

The next problem is the fines, costs, and restitution.
They cant leave the area without paying it!
when they do; the county pockets all the restitution money instead of giving it to the victims.
