This store needs some expert help in the management of the security cameras. They are way to distant to be of any use. Whoever installed these were only interested in taking money not providing security. After reviewing 5 tape they shuld know the system is worthless.

If a safe and accurate security system is needed, than they should place a call to Security Concepts NY.

Security Concepts?

are you kidding me?

bigger bunch of criminals than the people they are trying to protect the buisness's from.

the ass that owns that company has stolen more money from more people in the area than yo could believe.

call there and tell them you are calling about a past due bill and watch what happens....

Why would I kid you? I have no reason to believe you over anyone else... I'm quite satisfied with the work Security Concepts has done, and I commend them on a job well done. If you have issues with the company, talk to the company. Comments here won't do you any good, and they certainly won't change anything.

I was pointing out that the company you recomended is dishonest, incopentant, and owned by a theif. You not beleiveing me is fine, check it out for yourself, like I said, call the place, ask for the owner, and when asked why your calling, tell them its about a past due bill, or money you loaned them.... you will see.

Keeseville is a slum, run by slum lords. The mayor and her family put more coke up their noses than air, her first act as mayor was to chop down trees and start a fued with the police, downtown is run by pregnant children and a truck driver/drug dealer. The one attraction down town is a bar with busted duct-tape and cardboard windows or a grocery store with empty shelves.

It is no suprise that the hardwear store, were you can spend 2.00 on a .25 part is getting robbed by drug addicts.

reality check, while course and offensive, is right, about most everything he/she says about keeseville,

its sad that the elected officials are drug addicts, and downtown is such a mess, the theft of a drill is just the tip of the iceburg. the druggies and dirtbags that infest downtown are stealing everything they can for their habbits. a few video cameras placed in the right spot will do nothing for the town or its buisnesses. downtown needs to be cleaned out, that will stop stuff like this. get a mayor who does not run a bar while using and selling so much cocaine, trustees who care about the town, and local government who WANTS the state police there, not who openly hates them and tries to throw them out. that can stop stuff like this and bring good buisness to keeseville.

so now its a new topic. part of the point to msg boards like this is to have conversation on an evolving topic.

You dont like the new direction? Continue your march to the left of center, and leave this conversation to us.

Keeseville is a slum, populated and managed by drugg addicts and scumbags.

Drills getting stolen, along with evrything not nailed down, and many things that are, will continue until more than a security camera is changed,

(the druggis stole the frigging WIRE out of the habitat for humanity house to sell for drugs...)

MY point is that it will take more than security cameras (placed there by scum) to deal with the problems this community faces.

its true that the mayor is a drugy. her bar and brooks on front street are home to more drugys and criminals than the county jail. that is why stuf gets stolen and broke into. get rid of the drugs and less stuff will get taken.

its sad when the people in charge are worse than most they are in charge of.

To the topic on hand: Regardless of municipality, there are individuals who are willing to steal, beg, and try to beat the system. Every town has these individuals. Was the Adirondack Hardware of target? Who knows. Would it have been targeted regardless of security system? Probably. Would it have mattered where the store was located? Probably not.
In these times, more and more people are resorting to thoughtless behaviors. I don't believe that anyone can be blamed for theft, except for those committing the crime.

I took that oath myself my friend, and thank you for your service as well.
No one blamed anyone other than the criminal who stole the drill.
We do all however blame the drug addicts and scumbags for every day doing something to help destroy this town...
And further blame the drug addicts in charge for not only allowing them to do so, but supporting and aiding them.
Patriot... you want to do something to help Keeseville?
Lets start a movement right here, right now to drug test ALL villiage employees, INCLUDING the mayor. Make the test random, and un anounced...
most will test positive for pot, and I know at least 1 mayor who will test pos for coke...
start there...
then lets get people in charge who are going to make the state police feel welcome, not spend every second trying to get rid of them becuase her bar and drug buisness went down hill because of them....
I'm sorry, was this too far off topic for anyone? Do I get scolded again now?

Of course the powers in charge would resist the drug testing, they would claim all sorts of crap, budget (tests cost $15 in the pharmacy) privacy, their rights, relevence, who friggin knows...

And that will be the example they will set, and what a fine one at that.

I am not the only one pissed of about the drugs and crime, there are others, and if you are not just drive down front st. The very same street the drill was stolen on, you will see 12 year old girls smoking, 14 year olds with baby carriges, a whole group with skateboards, right under the sign that says no skateboarding, 5 fools skoking outside of the bar, and a fat truck driver with a cadilac and a pocket full of drugs.

My son asked if he could walk to the library the other day, I had to tll him no... that really sucks.

I'm not in disagreement that the Village Goverment needs changes. I believe, that there would be great benefits that could come from a feasibility research for the dissolution of the Village of Keeseville. The Keesevill name would not go away, and address would not change.
A movement could be started with a simple petition, signed by the village taxpayers, asking for a feasibilit research for the disolvement of the village government. Seeing how the water is in the Town of Chesterfield, and the sewer is in the Town of Ausable, there is no reason why the two towns could absorb the villages debt. I think the Keeseville area would progress significantly without a village board in the way.
There was a movement long ago to dissolve the village. Since then, there has been many reasons for the villages dissolvement, and a feasibility research would prove those reasons.

The voters have the power to replace all the elected officials in Keeseville and Chesterfield maybe then there would be hope for a rebuilding the community.

There will be hope for this community without a village board standing in the way. If it wasn't for Mr. Morrow and the Town of Chesterfield, the village sewer treatment center would have been shut down. How did the village allow a near shutdown of such a vital piece of infrastructure?

The Town of Chesterfield turned over grant money to the Village of Keeseville, to make the repairs, and keep the sewer treatment center operable.
This community will flourish, but it will flourish much quicker without a village board in the way.

If all of you think that the growing drug problem is going to resolve itself overnight- turning Keeseville into a "holy ground" of sorts- then you become part of this town's problem, with your sheer ignorance.
Using terms such as "scum" and talking about 14 year-old girls with baby carriages, is completely uncalled for. Some people may not be as fortunate as most of us, and run into hard times that land them in tough situations, but classifying them because of the town they live in, is again, ignorance.

It is not accurate to blame an entire population for isolated incidents, not all drug users steal or commit crimes to help their habits. By all means, I am not encouraging or making excuses for the perpetrators, but classifying people who actually have drug problems or recovering, as thieves, is again pure ignorance and is incorrect.

Also, being a veteran has nothing to do with helping our community. Yes, you served our country and helped serve our country, but that does not mean we have to constantly owe all of our country's accomplishments to you. It does not have to come up in every debate or conversation regarding rights and responsibilities, our rights as the United States were defended long ago.

I feel that the younger generation of this town, those who are attending college to better themselves and become outstanding citizens and doctors, lawyers, or psychologist, are the same ones that you may be classifying as "scum".

So bottom line is, think before you use your ignorance in inappropriate ways to classify an entire community by the acts of a just a few careless individuals.

I could not agree more! A major problem within this community is the "older" generation. They seem to enjoy complaining about the situation, but show no desire or ambition to become involved. So,standingUPforMYgeneration, you are completely correct with you statements. Especially, the statement about ignorant individuals becoming part of the problem.
People from all walks of life have suffered from drug addiction, alcoholism, or from some other form of dependency. People get down on their luck. It isn't fare that certain individuals take great pride in labeling others, and in the process, labeling an entire population. It's easier for some individuals to complain, label, and slander. To me, it would be more beneficial to become directly involved and create a change.
I have one thing to ask these "other" individuals... Take a long look into the past...
Most of the time, the individuals who have complaints to make about a community, have had a bigger part in the problem then what they want to admit.
The younger generation hasn't destroyed this community, the process began with the generations before.

I completely agree with you. Some of the greatest and most successful businessmen and women have suffered from addictions of all sorts, but most have taken steps into the right direction to become part of the solution.
Stereotypes are "generalizations, or assumptions, that people make about the characteristics of all members of a group, based on an image (OFTEN WRONG)about what people in that group are like." Once these stereotypical remarks are stopped, the real problems may begin to diminish.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Cancer

If you have children at home they'll be really playful today and quite a handful at times. Encourage them to burn off all their energy during the day otherwise it will be a case of tears before bedtime. There could also be a fractious atmosphere between you and a loved one, and this will quickly escalate into a row if you aren't careful.
