Jim Eddie, former County Supervisor, has just shown why he was and is so well respected in the community. This one short paragraph from Jim pretty well sums it up:
"Land use decisions done by initiatives are too subject to influences of big money advertising and campaigning and always result in poor planning that in every case, cost local governments local tax dollars to correct the ill effects of these unwise decisions. This proposed zoning change will result in economic disaster for Mendocino County." If this is such a great deal for us rubes, why does DDR have to spend over half a million dollars to convince us? Remember, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. |

Wow, Jim Eddie is Mike Delbar's father-in-law, so it looks like Delbar couldn't even convince his father-in-law to vote for Measure A. |

Jim Eddie is a life long Potter Valley rancher and was a County Supervisor for twenty years. Where are the Yes on A people who say only the dirty hippies are against Measure A?
From the mailer for "NO on A" it looks like the whole community, countywide is voting NO on A. People like Jere Melo, Francine Selim, Marge Boynton, Carole Hester, Doug Crane and the list goes on and on, not like the tiny number of yes on A people who are mostly people you have never heard of. With all their half a million in slick publicity it looks like DDR has failed to trick very many people into voting for Measure A, which DDR wrote for themselves to create a special package of rules to benefit them. Support our community - Vote "NO" on A. |

To the Editor:
For some time now I've been mulling over this notion of changing the zoning of the old Masonite property to allow a shopping mall to be built there. I'm against it. It's not good for Mendocino County. Mendocino County doesn't need more retail. It needs industrial land for well paying industrial jobs. It needs industrial land that supports our resource base. Land use decisions done by initiatives are too subject to influences of big money advertising and campaigning and always result in poor planning that in every case, cost local governments local tax dollars to correct the ill effects of these unwise decisions. This proposed zoning change will result in economic disaster for Mendocino County. I'm voting No on Measure A. James Eddie Potter Valley |

Jim Eddie always was a straight shooter. Will the DDR shills call him a liar too? |
Jim, look into their eyes, SOLE IS ALL LIES!!!! |
I had no idea that industrial jobs were on the way for that spot.......
When....What...... Profitable industry has no business in Mendo (or most of ca.)...Too many regulations. No regulations 600 miles to the south...Americans shop, we cant make anything anyone wants. maybe a clean air factory can move in, i think everybody would want a job there. |
Yes, thank you Jim Eddie. And Marge Boynton, Jere Melo, Doug Crane, Lee Sandelin, Carre Brown, Carole Hester and many more. It is another DDR lie that only a bunch of dope smoking no growht hippies are opposed to Measure A. The fact is, a very broad cross section of community leaders know that Measure A will be bad for everyone if it passes. It is an insult that DDR would question the integrity of all these people. Vote NO on A. |
I'm still waiting for someone from yes on A to stand up and call Jim Eddie a liar. Or a hippie. Vote NO on Measure A. It is a bad idea and like Jim says, it will cost us millions. |
Well, I'm still waiting for DDR and Robin Collier to call Jim Eddie a liar. Or all the other mainstream people who are solidly against Measure A.
DDR, who wrote and paid for Measure A also wants us to believe there will be full environmental review of the 800,000 square foot project (same size as ALL of Coddingtown) if Measure A passes.) In fact, there will be no CEQA, as made clear by the Impartial Analysis of Measure A in the ballot pamphlet. The Impartial Analysis says Measure A is "exempt from environmental review normally associated with such projects, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)because it is subject to adoption by the ballot initiative process. The normal procedural requirements relative to noticing, public hearings, public comment, or findings...likewise will not apply to this ordinance." They are also lying when they say the county rejected their application. The fact is they turned in an incomplete application and the county was working with them to finalize it. Jeff Adams, frontman for DDR and Measure A admitted at the election forum that the real reason DDR did not take their project to the Board of Supervisors was because two of their allies on the Board did not want to be put on the spot before the last election. Once you know DDR and the pro-Measure A crown are a bunch of liars, what more do you need to know? The irony is that about all Robin Collier, Jeff Adams, and most of the pro A posters on here can do is call the NO on A people liars, but they never put up the facts to prove their claims. The facts are that Measure A is very bad for everyone except DDR and a few real estate speculators. Reject DDR and the Big Lie(s) they are trying to force down our throats. Do you really think they would need to spend a MILLION dollars to convince us if Measure A was such a great idea? Vote NO on A. |
I agree. It is pathetic that all the yes on A people can do is call their opponents hippies and liars. Let them tell that to Jim Eddie or Jere Melo to their faces. I don't like the way DDR and yes on A have lied about everything and then says anyone who points out the facts are liars. In school we would call a "time-out" for these rude children and tell them to sit in the corner. Measure A is a very bad idea that will cost us millions, just like Jim Eddie says. Vote NO on A. |
