Family Regrets Call To Police Over Domestic Dispute

Sorry for the loss. My husband was a police officer and I prayed a lot that nothing would ever happen to him. If someone came at him with a knife or a gun and was told to put it down and didn't he had a right to defend himself no matter what. He also has family to think of.
Maybe this kid should have been helped a long time ago since it sounds like he had prison time before.

We had a rookie cop shoot and killed an unarmed person and the cop was Michael Coon who's wife was with MOHP in Washington county and last I heard he moved to Washington county and was looking for "Police work" there...Jay Nixon said he wouldn't be able to successfuly prosecute him so no charges were filed. There were weekly protests a about 2000 signatures on the petition for Nixon to reconsider his decision. Nixon won't return calls from the family or even agree to meet w/them. It happened on November 3rd... If this was done by the same officer Coon then Nixon better wake up!

Unjustified My brother was shot and killed right in front of me 2 officers in the house at the time and my brother didnt even have a weapon so you tell me why they shot him janette. HEB never broke the law never been in prison this cop shot him for no reason if this was jay nixons family coon would be behind bars and my 14 year old daughter seen it all happen to so nixon ignored the both of us and thats really sad. and if you wear a badge you can get by with murder.Sorry for your loss my heart and prayers go out to the family

i agree with unknown. it was justified and the deputy has been cleared. apparently everyone but the family thought it was justified.

well i can't say it was justified just because the deputy has been cleared police officers today get away with alot more then they should there is alot of corruption going on in missouri with police officers and it really needs to be investigated right.

then get something going or become a cop..but quit bitching just to bitch

No, not everyone but the family thought it was justified or we wouldn't have so many people discussing it on this forum.

I agree with you. Too many cops get away with doing bad things. Just like the priests move to another church, the cops resign, everything is swept under the rug and they move to another department.

I am not saying that this particular incident is bad but just cops in general

ok... so u expect that just because one police officer did something that they are all bad? i think not. that would be like judging that all professional wrestlers are bad because Chris Benoit killed himself and his family. u do not seem to think that because a gang banger shoots a cop that all gang bangers are bad. so, please quit judging someone. i myself havent read the police report on something like that any time recently so i'm assuming that you didn't pursue anything against the police officer.
