Potosi Schools

What do you think about Potosi Schools and the people who run it?

I think we should just be happy that our kids go to school and for the people that run it; as long as they are doing their best, thats all that matters.

I have been teaching for 8 years. I left my current school district and went to wprk for Potosi. I feel that the Primary Administrationa dn the Sup's office both have major issues. There are some great teachers in the district but I would never allow my children to attend there because of the people that run it. Side note: I went back to my old district after working there a very short time.

I don't know what happened-20 years a go when I lived close -POTOSI had a real good school-or at least I THOUGHT SO-great sports teams-several colleges were after this one guy who played football and basketball.thing must have really went downhill

They have great teachers but I think the board needs to clean house starting with both superindents and all administration! You are right with the people who run it!

My kids go to school in Potosi. I love it the district and the teachers. All the principals have always been great as well...I have worked with them as a teacher and a parent. My kids have tested high on the Terra Nova last school year. I love the district. I do not understand why others do not?!

my child goes to potosi and Im not a bit happy with the system. For many reasons but my main one is they are very judgemental toward some parents and not the ones they need to be that way with.

Your kids must be in elementary , you do not know what is going on behind the scenes!

Like what? With the teachers? Principals? The instruction to the students?

The teachers are great. Principals are not fot the kids they get rid of qualified teachers, Except they keep teachers with no morals. They get DWI's and have teacher's that get pregnant by other teacher's out of wedlock. Also the dress code, the homsexuality that is going on in the school! This is what they are teaching our kids!

I guess I was not aware of the DWI's. I am in TIS a lot. I am unsure about homosexuality or pregnancy out of wedlock. I have not talked to anyone on a personal level there. I do believe (concering DWI) that teachers should be held to a higher standard because they should model the behavior they want their students to follow...in an out of school. As for someone's sexual orientation, I would say as long as they do not bring it into the school (gay or straight...we wouldn't want teachers making out in the hall) I would not have a problem with that. I do know of other teachers in different districts who have gotten arrested for DWI's in the past. I know it sounds backwards but schools do not care about that.

well to put it in a nut shell the board sucks--- they arent worried about the kids getting sickor the ones getting bullied on the busses or for the safety of themgetting on and off the bus a few years back about six of us parents went to the board to try and get them to come down our blacktop road to to pick up our kids(7 kids--3 crossing 8 east to stand onthe main highway) .They had about 15 differant reasons why they couldnt .I even offored to build a circle drive in our yard at the end of the road, they said it would be to unsafe at a dead end road.AN areaa that i park a 18 wheeler in , they said there wouldnt be enough room so i took my truck into the bus shed to see wich one turned better ----the bus won hands down .that tells me they just didnt want to help us keep our kids from standing on the side of a bussy road or the drivers simply cant drive

There is good and bad in every school!!!! But I agree they need to clean house especially with certain elementary school teachers. I know a certain 3rd grade teacher that should not be there for sure and they dont care. She sends pic's of her bussiness out on cell phones and she has a friend that is just as nasty. MORALS what happen to them.

i have a problem with the elemetary school princeaples my 7 year old says litton is mean 5 year old swears shes a witch and neither of them like brown either. litton has been seen grabbing kids by th arm and swinging the around hard to face her. i catch her doing that to my kids and she will probably hafta have my arrested and as for the busdrivers they suck big time. i know for a fact that they pick on little kids.
