For the people on here whining about their return not be deposited or mailed out yet, GET OVER IT. If you would have saved your money you wouldn't be living paycheck to paycheck like you are now, and broke a couple days before the first. You don't need Pepsi and Cigarettes to live! Save that Money!

I normally wouldn't take sides with dildobaggins, but this time, I am. I know times are rough, but it seems that there are WAY too many scumbags that rely on their tax refund!! I bet that the line at the service counter at Kroger has the same degenerates that are there every month cashing their welfare checks!! It's easy to say you live paycheck to paycheck, but in reality, its welfare check to welfare check!! Although to you a welfare check is the same thing as a paycheck. I think its complete nonsense that you can get a refund check from your welfare. And Kay, your run-on sentences make it obvious that if you really do have a job, its at a fast food joint. I give you credit though, a fast food job is still a job. It sickens me to know that I bust my ass at my construction job to survive, and over half the people I went to school with sit on their fat, lazy assess and get paid more than I do. I can't wait till they start drug testing welfare recipients!!!!!!!

My Fiance lost his job and now only works a part time job 18 hours a week. We live paycheck to paycheck. We have 2 children to support and would like to receive our refunds so we can pay up some bills so we can save his pay checks for a few months. We do receive food stamps but I'm all for the drug testing! We have nothing to worry about there. I don't think everyone wanting their tax return receives cash assistance. Some are just unlucky people who lost their jobs and need that money to survive.

This post has NOTHING to do with welfare recipients aka "welfarians". This is for the people who can't save their money and are crying about the IT'S taking too long to deposit their return. If you are a working American and are receiving a tax return, then you deserved it, well done. BUT if you are checking your bank account and mailbox every 5 minutes for it, than something is wrong. Like I said, save that Money and quit spending it on your smoking fix.

My fiance is still waiting on his W2. I received mine for the few months I got to work this year.
Bilbo I wish we had money to save. By the time the bills are paid we have nothing left and before you ask we have no satellite, cell phones, or extras like that. It's rent, car insurance, diapers, clothes for the kids, and gas for the car, plus utilities and such.

I get so much a month in food stamps because my fiance only works 18 hours a week. We drink a lot of kool aid and juice.
I don't smoke either.

I will get around to filing sometime I guess. I don't really need the money though because I worked hard and made sound decisions. Everyone had the same opportunities; some just chose spreading their legs for Mr. Popular instead of thinking about the consequences. Others chose smoking dope with the boys over school. No pity. You are exactly where you put yourself in life. Do you ever notice that some people have "bad luck" over and over again while others seem to get all the breaks? It is not a coincidence. I wish we could see the stats on people the people that need their returns badly. I guarantee they are the same ones that pay nothing into the system.

Why would you give the government an interest free loan any longer than you have to? It would be a sound decision to retrieve your money ASAP so you can wisely re-invest it turning it into more money. Or you could simply drop it in your savings account and at least make a little profit off of the interest vs. the government using your money interest free.

If they loaned me money you know they would charge interest.

I am confused sounds like you are talking about high school students instead of adults. No one in my house spread their legs for Mr. Popular or smoked dope. Just going through a rough patch and could use the extra money to pay some things and then tuck the rest away in a savings. We do live in Scioto County where jobs aren't abundant. It would be nice to get 40 hours a week but very few employers who have job openings are offering that. You have to take what hours you can get.

Those high school students became adults and their bad decisions followed them. That is all I am saying. People are where they are in life because they put themselves there. If you work hard and make sound decisions, then I applaud you.
