I'm so Tired of all these people taking all this stuff for free. If they can't afford to feed their kids then DONT HAVE them or buy your own food. I have no use for anyone who isn't paying their way with work. I shouldn't have to pay for your food or your housing or your your baby formula or anything else you choose to need.

For the record WIC is not only low income its not like welfare where you have to be poor. they have a very high income cut off so you could work and pay taxes and still get wic. and its not nearly as bad as food stamps it really only helps with milk.... I work and pay taxes.. so im just gettin back what i pay in.

WIC is another government program that needs overhauled. Seriously, to everyone who is getting it, I would like you to understand that you are getting it because you cannot afford to take care of the children that you have, so DON"T HAVE ANY MORE. I have a baby and it makes me sick that I go to Walmart to buy formula and I have to look at all of the prices and then wonder if it really is ok to give my baby generic, while the WIC people come up and load their carts with Similac without even looking at the price. Not to mention the fact that I pay out the rear for childcare, which is also govt. subsidezed. I think I am the only one there that only has one child, because I can't afford two. But, these people on welfare get all of that paid for and then factor their support into their decision to have another one. Don't even get me started on Financial Aid. The govt. pays to send these people's children to college, but I will also have to either pay for it, or my child will start his life with a huge debt. It is ridiculous. I think if people get pregnant or get someone else pregnant while they are already getting assistance, they should have to serve some jail time. I am also all for the separation of church and state, so that birth control can be made a requirement for govt. aid.

At the end of the month when the WIC coupons are ready to expire they go in and buy 8 gallons of milk at once to use up their coupons. You know they are going to sell the milk as no one could use that much milk at once. They take forever for the cashiers to mess with them they tie up the lines forever while I am standing behind them with cash purchase. One day I went to the grocery, there was 3 people in front of me using food stamps. When I reached the checkout point I asked the cashier "Do you accept cash"

I am also all for the separation of church and state, so that birth control can be made a requirement for govt. aid. You sound like one of those people that have allways had it made all of your life. Dont be the first to judge people, ONLY GOD MAY JUDGE. I do not get any assistance, I dont have two children that I had adopted. But I would like to stand up for the people you are talking about so rudely. First of all its people's own life to live! I think WIC is a wonderful program. Even people with a higher income can still get WIC because the cost of formula is VERY outragious even if you have a very great income. Who could really afford it unless you were basically born with a golden spoon in your mouth. People can be wonderful parents without being loaded with tons of money. Just because you can take care of a child financially does NOT mean you are still being an actual good parent. I was raised by two wealthy Parents but I must say I was not loved like I should have been, And My needs of parenting was not there. I would trade my wealthy Parent for a poor Parent that is an actual Parent. So stop sitting back and judging! This doesnt make you such the bigger person. Have feeling and put yourself in their shoes. And if your not happy About having to buy your child generic then Maybe you" should apply for WIC, Because like I said the income guidelines are higher so most likely you will be approved. But I think what you said about having to buy your child generic sounded VERY spiteful! You should consider changing your heartless ways... Thanks!

Times are rough, jobs in this place arent very easy to find. There are people losing there jobs left and right. Why make fun of people that need assistance? And come on! Like someone could really resell Milk? Are you that dumb? Maybe they had bought milk all month and forgot to use there coupons and didnt want the coupons to go to waiste. Maybe they have alot of children? You dont know the people so shutup! Grow up!

I go to college and take out student loans so I can afford it. I'll have to pay it back but I'm glad the government does loans because I'd be screwed without since I'm an orphan who has no credit for private loans.

I do not understand why people are not ashamed of themselves for being a skank. I would feel humiliated if I had to use government assistance.

There is absolutely no excuse for people to not be able to find a job. Sure, it may not be the pay they want or even the job they like, but you do what you have to do when you have people depending on you. It is not others' responsibility to feed your mouth because you are too lazy to get off your ass and push carts.

yeahyourdumb, I raised 2 kids 40 years ago, bought formula and food for them there was NO assistance programs in those days. I'm not saying it was easy, but they never went hungry. People today just use these programs as a crutch, and never learn what responsibility is.

If you were an orphan, then you were a ward of the state, therefore you should qualify for grants.

You people are retarded. There is a difference in WIC and a food card. You can get pretty much get anything with a food card but you can only get certain things with WIC, and no, I don't have either one. I'm active duty military and I almost qualified for WIC but made $200 too much a month to get it. There are lots of people in the military who do qualify for it though. I don't see anything wrong with WIC. There are a lot of people who work who need it. Hell, there are people who work who actually need a food card.
