BG's has the worse meat in the world...That place is disgusting and it stinks all the time, not just on the first of the month...Gary Blackburn is nothing more than a greedy, disgusting, needs to shave his mustache, old man. I heard he has a little dog that he lets run around in the store at night, a guy I know used to cut meat there and he said he had to clean up piles of dog crap every morning when he got to work, out of the meat room...GROSS

Also, Gary lives upstairs and yes he does have a dog that lives upstairs that he would let down to go outside during the day so it wouldn't surprise me if it ran through the store...

I enjoy going to Blackburns. They have a great store with so many items that you can't find anywhere else. I love their ham salad. Their cinnamon rolls are wonderful. Produce department has a great variety. In the spring they have a great selection of healthy plants.
I have never worked there and have always been treated kindly.

I never noticed the booze area. Maybe your attitude and crude language has a negative affect on others. Try going in with a smile and see what happens. Let us know how it goes.

I think I like you. I could never resist a sale. Anything 50% off catches my attention.

This is hard for me to tell you, but the ham salad is made from the outdated lunch meat that don't sell. He will leave it in the little freezer case until it has had a chance to sell, usually about 3 months and then he thaws it out and had us mix it all together in the grinder...even if there had already been raw hamburger ran through it, and then we would run it into a 5 gallon tub and mix it altogether along with the other ingredients..and as far as the store conditions in the back room where nobody can see, it is disgusting.. Rats all over the backroom, piles of dog crap daily, and it smells like cat spray. If he was in Portsmouth, the Health department would shut him down in a heartbeat. NASTY

Thanks for letting me know about this. I would hope that the county health inspector would do some checking. Some newspapers, in other towns, will list the health violations after their inspections of restaurants. Have never seen a grocery store inspected but I would think that they would be since they are handling food.
I sure do love that ham salad though.

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Aries

One of the family needs plenty of love and attention today, but the trouble is that you may not be able to spare the time. If so, you'll be consumed with guilt and self-reproach, and this may become so strong that it casts a blight over the day. So do what you can to let them know you're thinking about them, but resist the temptation to berate yourself over things you can't change.
