first and for most i would like to say personally this school does suck! they don't teach your kids anything and they suck up the grant money and do nothing! you can call a board meeting but it is not going to get you anywhere, if you have a kid that goes there, take them out and be prepared to do a lot of catching up!!! they suck!

Jealousy - pure and simple.

SEA is the greatest elementary school in Scioto County; and it may be the best in southern Ohio. There are people, because of jealousy, that have wanted SEA to fail. Well, the debate is over. High test scores, quality teachers, intelligent administration and a great school board have made it the best. If you don't like SEA, then you don't have to be involved in it. Furthermore, you should focus your ill feelings toward something that deserves them.

I would like to thank Bill and Foresta Shope for managing to make SEA not only a possibility, but also a reality. Without their endless hours of hard work, Sciotoville Community Schools would not have the quality "feeder" school in SEA.

Sciotoville is part of Portsmouth. Sciotoville is not its own town. Sciotoville is within the corporation limits of Portsmouth; hence, the Portsmouth Fire Department on Harding Avenue and the Portsmouth Police cars you see around "town."

The entire county is affected by drug abuse. Of course it affects Sciotoville. And Lucasville, and Wheelersburg, and New Boston, shall I go on? As usual, the topic of this thread has gotten lost in the shuffle.

Agreed!! Swearing is also a sign of the inability to access an intelligent vocabulary. Maybe overuse of drugs is to blame! There's really no other reason "the curser" would be so defensive about drug testing educators and so opposed to protecting Sciotoville's children. Sad! I hope this person isn't anyone in a position of power or influence.

You people need to read earlier posts before you make stupid statements. As stated in earlier comments... I AM NOT AGAINST DRUG TESTING. As to your comment regarding swearing being a sign of my inability to access intelligent vocabulary... I can guarantee my intelligence and vocabulary far exceeds most of the posters on topix. What schools do drug test?

Submit a Freedom of Information Act request to them asking to see their testing documents for the latest test.
