Methadone is Deadly wrote: <quoted text> I do see what you mean by my opening sentence and how it can affect replies and/or the reason some may overlook the post all together. I LOVED your comparison by the way, made it clear and simple. I do not have all the answers, that is certain, concerning the situation our little town is in, I just know that both myself and 'baffled' do try and open people's eyes to the REAL p-town and we are trying to raise awareness however we can to ALL the problems. Baffled has posted more than a thousand times pleading with folks to anonymously tip the DEA and he/she only gets mud slung at him/her. It starts with ONE person doing the right thing and I sure sleep better at night by following my heart. Drugs steal a persons heart and then their soul. I know this firsthand as I have had addicts in my family. Thank you for your condolences~I pray NO one has to endure that pain, especially the way I did....overdoses are so preventable; they are needless and tragic, no matter WHO it happens to. I am truly sorry about your son. It's coming up on the 5 year anniversary of my brother's death, and I see what it has done to my mother. He was only 28. Although his death had nothing to do with drugs, my parents and I can tell you we are 99% certain he would have overdosed and died by now. He had several friends overdose and die, so it's a possibility your son was friends with him. He was doing what most people consider the worst things you can do. When I make a post that I know can be taken the wrong way I leave my name off at first so I can explain it because I never intend to be insulting or rude. So, I go by Jo-Jo here, which isn't my name, but it's what my brother called me all his life.

Nice to meet you too Methodone and yes we are on the same agenda. I also have seen first hand as to what drugs will do to people and how it ruins their lives. I've had relation get involved in them and it didn't bother me one bit to turn one in that was dealing. Drugs are something that alot of people don't want to talk about or face the fact as to how bad things are now here. As far as the mud slinging goes,I'm use to that and don't pay any attention to it. Usually you are getting close or hitting a nerve when someone starts slinging mud. What they don't realize is all that it does is makes me more determined to keep up what I'm doing. As I've stated before this town and alot of people are in for a big surprize.Which it's way too late for all of them and no way out period. As the old saying goes,You can stick a fork in them, cause they're done. What goes around, comes around in two fold. No one knows anything until it happens. So now anticipation of something happening is worse than it actually happening. So you can be sure of one thing, there's alot of people not sleeping very well at night.

TO THE PEOPLE OF PORTSMOUTH: I want to thank all of you that have taken the advice given to you on turning in your information. Thank You very much for this and it's been greatly appreciated. Now I ask that more of the people here in town to do the same thing and do your duty as a concerned citizen wanting to put an end to this drug problem and corruption once and for good. Please continue to turn in any information to the dea and the OBI. Thank You!!!

I am sorry too for your loss, it leaves us with such a different outlook on life when they are taken suddenly and tragically. Perhaps my son did know your brother, although the last 4 yrs of my son's life he lived up north, had gotten married and was commited to working and family. Needless to say that made the shock of his death even moreso as we had no clue he was 'dabbling' into drugs again. Since his passing, when I overhear people speak of someone who died by overdose as "well, they were just a pillhead ya know" I just cringe and look them dead in the eyes and remind them that it makes NO MATTER about that, they were human and people loved them all the same. Folks just think that it will never happen to them or in their family. Oh, what a misconception. Thanks Jo-Jo and sending you warm wishes to your mother as well....my heart is on the same page as hers for we truly never heal once losing a child.

Well I for one am waiting with great anticipation as to who all will be nabbed, there are quite a few I would love to name that I am positive will go down this next time but I will refrain putting names on here. Yes, what goes around comes around and Karma is most certainly a b@tch to those who have a hand in other people's misfortune. All these drugs in this town are killing generations, those who don't die from o.d. end up brain damaged with no life to correct. It's an atrocity in all forms. I am sure we will be communicating more....hope you are enjoying this nice sunny Monday;-) Peace and Hope~

Well the word is out of something is going to go down. Alot of the dealers are lying low and some aren't doing business at all. But what they don't realize is that it's already way too late for them. Right now their biggest problem is that no one knows when, but it's definitely going to happen. So their so-called businesses are already going down the drain and they are going to get to go to a new home for a long time. They should've thought differently a long time ago about what they were doing. But like most idiots the money was too tempting and they thought that they'd never get caught at it. How foolish of them,so now it's you do the crime and you do the time. There will be alot more people than the dealers that goes down. It will be the other ones tied in with them too that most don't suspect.

Just imagine all the lives they have destroyed for the sake of a buck, all the blood on these people hands.....justice will serve most certainly but if all were to be charged with all the crimes commited aside from the dealing as well, they would be put UNDER the prison instead of laying around in it!!! As Gomer Pyle use to say :'Surprise, Surprise, Surprise'....I can NOT wait;-)Off to bed ya'll would love to chat but it has been such a very long and tiring day....work, work and more work! Peace and Hope to all!

The best thing I ever did for myself: move away from that cesspool of despair known as Portsmouth. What a drug-infested rat's nest, overflowing with the rapid-multiplying breed of moron. Sure, there are good decent people in Portsmouth... in theory. I just never met any in the twenty years I resided there. It's a geographical anomaly.

I will not hold my breath waiting to see if they are brought to justice Alot of people geezo feels the same way as you right now. The biggest reason is because of all of the corruption that has went on through the years.Everyone knows how crooked things are throughout the judicial system and the city officials along with the crooked lawyers too. Reason for that is because no one has had the backbone to standup and to try to make a difference. So the corruption just continued to grow because there was nothing to stop them from doing whatever they wanted to do. Now we've finally got someone in office who isn't afraid to do something about it. For that you've got to admire her attitude and determination to make changes here. Now the crooked ones are begining to sweat and trust me they're worried too. They know that when the beans are spilled that they're in a world of hurt and they know it too. Don't think for one minute that they're not wondering what's going to happen and what's going to happen to them. They know full well that their power glory days are coming to an end and they're up to their necks in trouble when things go down, which it is. They might be trying to convince themselves that nothing's going to happen, but in the back of their minds there is that fear and doubt. All things take time to make sure that everything is in proper order, the i's are dotted and the t's crossed. But don't think that it's going to be a long way off before anything happens. It's already been in the process for a while and it's not that far off. Be patient and see what happens.
