I was at the eye doctor the other day and there was about 10 maybe 11 people in the waiting room.Men and women. This lady started breast feeding her baby without covering herself.I,myself, feel that she should have at least, used the blanket she had around the baby,to cover herself while feeding.I don't understand. If it had just been women fine, but you could see it made the men uncomfortable.I feel a woman can feed her child anywhere when the need arises, but at least have some modesty.

Breast feeding women are the only women allowed to expose their breasts. It's the law. Next time just sit there and hang one of yours out and see what happens. LOL

I wouldnt expose my breast- but breast feeding is natural, some babies perfer breast feeding. Its also a good bond with mommy and baby, makes the baby feel closer to mommy. i would have covered with a thin baby blanket. lil baby has to eat! If someone feels uncomfortable, they should try not to look. mommy could have felt uncomfortable too, but needed to feed her lil one.

I breast feed, it is a natural process that does seem to make some people uncomfortable. B/c of this I try to respect them and be modest by either going in another room, covering up, or using a breast pump to bottle the breast milk for when we are in public. A baby has to eat and they dont understand why it may be seen as unmodest so it's up to us as parents to find the middle ground.

I find it natural but it is disrespectful for them to not even bother to try to cover up

I don't mind a mother feeding her child anywhere, any time. But she could at least be modest enough to always carry something to cover herself.

Just because someone disagrees with you, they are ignorant? It is ignorant to not have the ability to distinguish between a different viewpoint than yourself and respect the chosen opinion of others. You want me to respect your opinion, right? Since we have wisdom teeth and an appendix do they really have a purpose in today's world?

I use to think it was discusting until I had my children and decided to give it a try. Then I realized its totally natural and very healthy for your baby. Of course, I was extremely discreet and wouldn't ever nurse in the presence of men even if I was completely covered. It's a private thing, and I would go into a dressing room or my car.

For the people defending skank exhibitionism by saying "it is natural" here is something else that is natural: taking a shit. Maybe we should all just hang our asses over open sewers in public and drop a deuce. It is natural, right? I support breast feeding 100%, but use a blanket or some other covering when possible.
