it was a murray push mower
The news report showed a commercial sized self propelled mower with a sulk attached on the back. Murray does not make mowers that size. Together it probably costs between 4,500-6,500 new.

From what was said Holsinger owed $700.00 on the mower. I am betting that the Stakers aggressive repossession methods which were completely wrong was to get the mower back not the money. They could have taken that mower cleaned it up and resold it as a slightly used mower and got around 3,000 out of it. Now they see that they should have went through he proper legal channels to repossess as their methods may cost them their business. I am sure that it has already cost them many times more than the mower is worth.

Steve was a very nice guy, to anyone who knew him. He will be missed very much. His wife and children all need our prayers and support.
It must be nice to walk the streets, after Killing a man, just because your family has money. Staker had to know that there was going to be trouble, why else would he take a loaded gun, I wonder what his thoughts were as he was loading that gun.(was he thinking then, what he would say to the sheriff ).
If someone was pounding on my door that long and that late at night, I sure wouldn't walk out on the porch, with my hands in my pockets, I would of had a gun in my hand too. So sad this had to happen to such a nice guy. Steve you will be missed so very much.

Even if Johnny Law decides to let the little fat boy walk, he'll always be known as the Staker that murdered. What a legacy to leave to the family name. Karma? I wonder if they still cowboy up when going on a repo.

the way things are anymore, if it had been an animal, thing would have progressed alot faster and the shooter would be in jail? dont take animal rights lightly?

What the he[[ is going on with this case? Is the freaking prosecutor so inept as to not have sufficient evidence to present this to a grand jury yet?

Does anybody know where this case stands?

Well I can tell you his next time on the ballot will present an opportunity for change...in fact I'm voting for everybody whose name is new on the ballot...tired of the same old $hit...nothing but idiots seem to be running things...

Whinning is not even in the dictionary when it comes to a life being lost. But stupid is. This mans family has every right to want justice for their loved one. They have every right to want answers, I still pray that God gives them strength to deal with what happens, mostly I pray for the little children.

I'll tell you what is going on. The sheriff has not done a proper investigation and presented little - to no evidence to the prosecutor. When people in office what the case to go nowhere- it goes nowhere. Donini has played like this for years. Is this the reason he is so scared to lose the election? Perhaps he has more to lose than just his job? You will see how corrupt our legal system really is. I guess I am going to a house where a guy did not pay back the money I loaned him, shoot him five times and call it "SELF DEFENSE." Get real.

the case has gone nowhere, because it's completely obvious that it was a legal shooting. they cannot present evidence that isn't there, that is common sense. staker is a good kid, and put in that position anyone i know would have done the same thing. dude died, ya that sucks, but his death is on his own hands, maybe he should've tried to scare someone else off with a gun, or been man enough to pull the trigger himself. getting sick of people constantly nagging and complaining, but same time if someone were breaking in your house or something endangering your family you wouldnt want to be wrongfully imprisoned....so leave it the helll alone
