Another parent making excuses for their children. Accept the fact that you are a bad parent, and never set boundries for your child.

Doesn't help the matter when parents place the blame on others and don't accept responsibility. Let's not act like this is trivial, it is burglary. True kids may still act bad no matter how they are raised, but don't be a sympathizer for your child when they break the law.

I agree with Rhett. My husband's little cousin (age 17 now) has been doing this kind of thing since he was 14. He steals from family, friends, and strangers. He and his girlfriend even stole a purse from a woman in a church. He's on drugs, but that's been off and on. His mother and other family members do nothing but "help" him get out of trouble. I have yet to figure out how they keep doing it. He gets "arrested" then his mom shows up, says something to the police (many of whom she is friends with), and a BAM, he's out of cuffs, no citation, no court date, nothing. The best thing that ever happened to him is the ONE time he couldn't get out of trouble and was sent to a juvenile facility for a few months. He came back and did very well for a while until his girlfriend started bringing him stolen liquor. Then one thing led to another and the next thing I know his grandfather is giving him money to buy a gun with... and that's after the boy stole over $200 from his wallet! Y'know for someone that's on 'house arrest' he sure does go where he wants and does whatever he pleases with no consequences. And it seems no matter who I talk to about this, nothing ever happens. I've even called DCS about the way they live, the fact that the oldest son does all this and the youngest (6 years old) is constantly neglected due to the mother being gone all hours of the day and night. She doesn't even make the kids go to school. The only one that does is the middle son, and I believe that's mostly to get away from his terrible home life.
