This is shocking and tragic. Wayne was a great guy and a wonderful artist who, among other things, captured the spirit of local people in his engaging portraits. So sad to see him go.

Never heard of the man...but to know this guy spent his time and energy to help the poor and downtrodden of Cambodia receive fair representation in their courts, wow, just wow. Fair to say this man is going to heaven if you believe such things.
To bring dignity and hope to the down and out of the down and outs, that's a noble calling. You do not get more underdog than criminals in Cambodia, period.
Godspeed brother. Too few people like this, one less now.
Please let me die having made such a contribution to humanity, even a fraction of.

I nearly collapsed when I read this article this morning. Wayne was a professor of mine at HSU for three years as well as my advisor. He was an amazing, caring individual and an excellent teacher. I learned a lot from him, not just about art and graphic design, but about life in general. He believed very strongly in the power of art and media to do good in the world, and always stressed the importance of ethics and morality in one's art and work. He was a very wise man, and was always willing to go the extra mile for his students. I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing - he will be missed greatly. My condolences go out to his family and friends.

"Knight had a PRE-EXISTING medical condition." That says it all right there. H1N1 isn't the cause of his death.
The other question is "who are they having test for the presence of the swine flu virus." Because there are very few labs in CA that have the ability to test for it and it takes a while to get results.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Sagittarius

You're in a strange mood, Sagittarius. You're feeling impatient and cross, and nothing is quite right. No wonder, with Mercury and Mars retrograde, under a Full Moon lunar eclipse! But is it necessary to be quite so contrary, so determined to do the opposite of what's expected of you? Try to sort out the problem sooner rather than later, then do something energetic and therapeutic so you can burn off your nervous energy. Then you're all set for a great New Year's Eve!
