What they are losing in LGA-state aid that had been supporting all of this redundant local government across the state....which is a good thing!

Minneota lies 12 miles away from the Sheriff's Office. Closing the department would be a mistake. The SO is not a 24 hour service. We need to have somebody living in town. Reduce the size of the department and keep the chief.

The main reason for a town police department is so the elected officials in town don't need to worry about DUIs.

To worry about the SO being 12 miles away is silly because all the deputies don't hang out at the SO, well I guess maybe the Sherrif gives free dognuts.

A town PD is very expensive for little return. Look at Minneapolis where they have a very strong PD and also have a shooting a day.

Abolish the PD and buy everyone in town a handgun with training and also buy all of them an alarm system with the money previously spent on the PD.

Residents would be better off. If a burgler knows of all the defenses in the town he/she will pass.

More cops more crime, soon you will be arrested for getting your curbside paper in your robe. The cops are nothing better than Jack Booted Tax Assessors with the Neck Length Black Skirted Bar Assocation Member the final Tax Collector. The Attorneys want more laws, Mob Rule(DEMOCRACY!!!), so they can stuff their pockets full of ill-begotten gain, the same problem we fought the Revolutionary War for. So the next time you hear of, or see a video of, cops brutally assaulting a grandfather or grandmother somewhere, check it out and notice, that besides the uniform and Tazer, how much they resemble the gang members they are hired to protect us from!!

Smith & Wesson gun sales ^ Up ^ 500% last month.
I think people are trying to tell the Govt something. A box of 45 cal ammo has gone up $7.00 a box. Get yours now before P-BO comes and asks for them all back. Forget the cops Protect yourselves from them and others.

Get rid of those two officers, they are the crooks that take money for nothing! I believe police can turn crime into big business just to keep themselves employed.

Minneota will most certainly be better off without that police force. The town has no real crime so there is no real need for two full time officers.

Thank you Paul Larson and a huge thank you to everyone who supports Paul Larson! Paul is truly an amazing person who cares about Minneota and Paul cares about the people who live there!

The people need to rally around Paul and support a man who is there for them. We need more people like him in office! I pray someday Paul runs for an even higher office, maybe for govenor! The world would be a much better place if there were more men like Paul Larson in it!

Again, thank you Paul Larson ~ You Rock ~ I am a huge fan of yours!

Liberals don't like crime free areas. That's why they advocate law enforcement cuts and intstalling affordable housing in every corner of Minnesota. Then when crime gets bad people vote DFL so nanny government will save everyone.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Taurus

It's important that you keep that famous bull-headedness in check over the next couple of weeks. Be cool, calm and sensible and you'll find that you end up with things correctly and tidily done. Stick to the straight and narrow, no matter what the distractions or irritations around you. If you think outside the square, you'll begin to see how visualisation can change and shape your life. Trust your hunches and be ready to move on them.
