joan wrote: Any one know this guy can they tell me anything about him he was talking to my daughter then other day just wondering? Do not believe anything you read on Topix. LOL If you want to know the truth, ask someone in town who has lived through the situation with them, and ask privately. Then balance what they say against what anyone would say, that you really trust. If they are on here, not registered and hiding behind their computer, and you have no idea who they are, then you are not on secure ground when it comes to facts. This place has a little bit of libelous posters and some sick/small minds that only are jealous or ignorant and hide behind their computer to try to start things to sooth their own insecurities or to try to hurt someone they "just don't like." And that is the gist of it. Why no one takes Topix seriously, because they have witnessed this in action. And when you open the door to the person who is hiding, and find out who it is, you find out that person's life if filled to the brim, froth with problems. But you become the bigger one in grace, and know that what they said is not true about you and that no one believes them anyway when they hide and spread that mess. And sooner or later, everyone can see the pattern and know who they are and what their lives have been like (and still are), and then it just is "no problem, no way." Some people just have this in their human nature. Only way they have to feel important. Sad, but true. Just answer, then move on - and pray for them. When they stoop that low, they need it. :) Merry Christmas.

Casey wrote: Julie who? The Julie I know Amy? Would not give such Topix posts that are mere gossip, on here, a second thought. When all one can do is try to cut someone else down with hate words, then that someone obviously lacks in cognitive development - information process flawed by immature need to manipulate observable determinants into negative behavior that does not adequately represent truth as it exists in events occurring or people, in fact, observed by the immature. As a person's conception of the world matures, the intellectual in cognitive processing broadens into a more realistic representative of the world/people about, and aids in problem solving. Otherwise, you just get children playground tactics of attempts at bullying and whispered dirt about others, and never get past adolescent cliques and attempts at bullying and trying to ostracize others. Some folks attempt to use Topix for that purpose. But have little effect, or hold little interest, for the mature cognitive perspective that reads and wants better from a forum - and has a reasoning process that would not consider credible anyone who hides behind a generic name and spiels hate and gossip. Which, when one does an overall memory recall of Portageville, one will find that the majority of the people in this town are not facilitators of gossip or want any part of it. Merry Christmas! :)

Matthew 6:19-34 I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labour or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendour was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, "What shall we eat?" or "What shall we drink?" or "What shall we wear?" For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
