Very disapointed...i found out today chief Adams allowed an officer the work the soybean parade in uniform a day after that officer got arrested for beating on his wife.....wow...it really is time for a new chief. Im tired of keeping my mouth shut. This is way over the top. Good luck Mr. Adams you no longer have my respect or suport

Let me inform you of something, first of all we are no longer married, have a child together! Second it's none of our buisness what occured and how it was handled! I work in law enforcement too, I am the one that dropped charges, Portageville PD did their part of taking care of what happened! Now whether you have a problem with it then instead of being a coward why don't you come straight to me or Chief Adams or Asst Chief Freddie Hill and we will be glad to answer any of your questions, which really does not concern you!! I would have to say that was well said!! I dont know all the details but I really dont care either other than people need to mind there own buisness. I too am in law enforcment and for the person who is "just me" you can kiss my ass! I hope you need some kind of emegency services someday and relize how important we really are.

in a differant case, differant town is the law the same no victim,no complaint no charges? cause i know of a case were there was no victim and no complaint made but yet just because someone caught a glimps of a verbal arguement charges were filed. How is this so? Can this be? just would like to know

Well that's all good and fine, but any officer should have been fired over that wether charges were dropped or not! Apparently there's not alot of people that know the whole story
but not only that he also went into a ditch and MSHP worked that accident the morning after! He has screwed that girl over ever since they been together! I'm in agreement, it's time fir changes in portageville!! I have a feeling this is no where near over!

No victim, No complaint, no charges.........Let's see now. For someone who claims to know the law, you know very little.

By Missouri Domestic Assault laws there was a complaint as soon as you contacted Law Enforcement. LE had discretion as to whether to make an arrest or not, however they do have to make a report of the call. Failure to do so is a crime.

So.....If there was a complaint, there was a victim. Most jurisdictions in today's times are filing charges any time there is evidence of a physical assault. This is regradless of the wishes of the victim. Also, most prosecutors are following through with prosecution regardless of if the victim calls and wants to drop charges. This prevents situations like yours in which it happens more than once and charges always get dropped.

This will be forwarded to an acquaintance of mine. I'm curious how much truth there is to it. If there is no report of the call, I'm sure the responding officers will be charged also.

Chief Adams,Asst.Chief Freddy Hill and the other officers here in Portagevill have always treated me fair and square. If you call the station needing help they always come and do what ever they can for you. If anyone here in Portageville has/have a poor opinion of our local police, maybe you need to check your attitude/behavior!!!!!

what if i didnt call the law but a wanna be hero called them thinking he saw something when it was nothing,also if an assault "so called happen" isnt the law suppost to take pictues or something?wheres the evidence to prove the assault happen?

If you pull an ip address (which you can't you friggin idiot) without a court order you're in deep doodoo. If you interfere with first responders or police getting to a scene you are also in deep doodoo.
