Letter: Traffic citations replace lost tax revenue in Port St. Lucie

Given the recent depreciation in the value of real estate, some municipalities, desperate for revenue, are resorting to employing current, new "traffic control devices" to increase the number of "traffic citations" issued and thereby generate additional income to offset the loss in tax revenue.
