doctor's in -- online
Full story: Orlando Sentinel
This would be a definite convenience, but I see great potential for abuse by insurance companies, who may start refusing to pay for more-expensive office visits even in cases where that is clearly preferable to on-line consultation.
What about people who live in rural areas where it takes several hours to go see the doctor. An on-line consultation is a huge benefit to us.
I don't mind paying my doctor's small out of pocket fee for when he provides on-line consultations because I have a chronic condition and cannot go visit him once a week. Instead of the costs and hassle of an office visit, I just log into his account from http://onlineconsultation.com which is intigrated into his website.
Robert Where do you live that you can't find a doctor for several hours? You should not trust any website for health advice. You must see a real doctor.
