woodstock landscaping-OWNER ARRESTED-WHAT A SURPRISE!

I dont know exactly how this continues but woodstock landscaping continues to grow rip people off. I have never met a satisfied customer or anyone who has anything good to say of them. As a matter of fact I have met or spoken to over 25 people who have tried to sue them and most of which were awarded judgements,but will never see their money because of the amount of tax leins against that company. By the way, this company has claimed bankrupcy and changed their name at least three times to avoid paying debts. The owner is the local fire chief who has also been under suspision for starting fires and has recently been arrested for illegal burning and illegal dumping. It is amazing how this company continues to expand at everyone elses expense. I, as well as many other have tried to pursue getting our money back and getting a new fire chief, but because of all of the political ties this man has he seems to get away with everything! Many if enough people come together we could stop the next 25 people from getting ripped off and save our community from falling prey to this monster.

I have never been anything but satisfied with any of the work that I have had done by this company! I personally know of hundreds of jobs in and around the Woodstock area that they have completed and have done a wonderful job. Most of the time when people want to sue a service company over the work, it seems to be that they themselves were too cheap to pay for the work that they contracted for.
As for the job of fire chief, he has done more for his community than half the town put together, volunteering thousands of hours and showing up at all hours of the day to help those who are in need.
I suggest that you get your facts straight before spouting off next time.

OH WELL! There is truths in complaints..so unfortunately there really should be somebody investigating and let them get fined or jailed for their bull...

What is this guys name? We recently went to the NJLCA trade show and there was a woodstock landscaping that we met and he is to come down to the farm this saturday. I am really concerned and need to find out if it is the same guy.

1st. Owner insisted all the work would be done in a week, it took 5 weeks and I had to call every week to find out why the work wasnt completed. They never called to tell us why work wasn't done.
2nd. Was supposed to gravel driveway. We arrived on a Friday night to find a huge mound of gravel blocking driveway. Wasn't laid out until later that week.
3rd. Was supposed to till a small embankment infront of the house, we added this job on. I saw the owner at a Home Depot before arriving to the house. I asked if all the work was complete, he said yes. I arrived to find the bank untouched. AGAIn had to call and find out why and was given a story about how the weeds would just grow back. So they arbitrarily decided not to do it. obviously since we scheduled the work early inthe season he had other clients waiting to be ripped off. I will NEVER recommend this company. I had a neighbor till the bank, the weeds never havent grown back.

I'm curious to know if you met this person at the trade show. How did it go?

I bought 3 spruces from him and they died within 1 month. Another tree I bought and planted in the same grouping is doing well so something was wrong with the spruces. I have been dealing with Mike who is 2nd in charge I thnk. He has done other work for me and I had no complaints...abnd he said he'd make good on the 3 dead trees. I can't reach him and am afraid they will close for the season. I've driven by 3 times and tried to call lots of times with no return calls. What I want is a credit for next season. I probly won't buy trees from him again, but would buy smaller plants. All of the ones I bought this year are doing well.

i would recommend them to any one and the crap about the bankruptcy is a lie get Ur facts strait dumb ass

I just had a walkway installed and the work was done on time and the results are beautiful. This company is hoest and does excellent work.

I was ripped off by this guy when I first moved here 17 years ago. I complained to the Kingston district attny., but they wouldn't move on it.

Wish that I had read this before hiring them!

Winne must be one of the clueless grunts that works there.

Sure, they can deliver gravel, cut down trees and mow the lawn.....but don't let them plant or design anything!

I had a great experience, I had them come and put a pond in and landscape my entire property. The results are beautiful!! I am very pleased and am sorry to hear that they have some dissatisfied customers. But I gess no business is without complaints. All I know is that they where professional and did a wonderful job at my house! I would and have recommended them to friends and family.

I am not surprised to have found this thread. I too naively hired this company to do work. In fear of retribution I will only say that the owner is untrustworthy and potentially a pathological liar. I have spoken to numerous other people about landscapers and the one thing every person I spoke to had in common, was that they were either ripped off, lied to, or given a poor product and service without reimbursement for failure.

The only positive reviews in this thread seam to be from illiterate 3rd grade children.
