Sleeping while driving? Pulled over asleep because intoxicated. Someone else was driving and you were a passenger asleep? Your statement leaves alot of holes. Care to explain? A DWI is driving while intoxicated.

If you sleep in the car because your too drunk always make sure they keys arnt in the ignition. Also hide them so the cops cant plant them in the ignition. As long as they cant prove you had access to the keys your good. tip 2 Claim psychiatric emergency if you come across a checkpoint drunk

And that makes it ok You of all people should know what happens when you get in the car with someone that is not 100% or when you drive a car when you are not 100% Maybe you need to go and sit by Kimberly Cornette grave for a reality check

Thank you. I just wanted to know how someone could get a dwi while they said they were sleeping. I wanted clarification and I got it. Kudos to you for pulling over. Shame on you for even attempting to drive.

Not sure why you are blasting me. I was attempting to understand something that tubbs said. I didn't say anything about agreeing with tubbs or anyone else. Drowsy driving and drunk driving are 100% preventable and people who do it are knowingly putting others lives at risk. I am going to say this as sensitively as I can...Please read and reread peoples posts to understand exactly what they are stating before you attempt to reply back. If you had done this..you would see I agree with you and not the drowsy drivers, drunk drivers, impaired drivers of this world.

Let them. Let them drive drunk. Let them drive tired or full of pills or however impaired they are. Let them. No need to reason with them. Don't try to say haven't you seen what it does to families. Let them. It is what it is. They will do stupid stuff no matter what. Do like me. When you read that they even attempted to drive drunk..smile and think to yourself..hopefully the next time they will kill themselves instead of someone else. That way our families and friends stay a little safer. I have no patience for the ignorant. I just smile and hope and wish the people will no regard for others peoples life, die in that car they are driving while impaired. So tubbs..go try it again. I can say that will the biggest grin. Go try...I dare you.

Wow.....that is a lot of bitterness in that post.
That is the voice of someone that been hurt and wishes the worst for those who do what the one that hurt them did....not the voice of reason.

“We’re to the point where almost everyone knows that [he or she] shouldn’t drink and drive. The people who are still doing it are choosing to do it. The most effective way to deal with them is to arrest them.”
Above quote is from MADD. My quote.. We're at the point where everyone knows that he or she shouldn't drink and drive, drive tired or drive impaired. The people who are still doing it are choosing to do it. The most effective way to deal with them is to let them KILL THEMSELVES before they kill another of our loved ones. Or maybe a parent will get angry enough and shot them when they have killed their family and then that stops another death for sure. I am not PC. I am a realist. Get rid of them.
