Poquoson mom charged with supplying alcohol to teens

Where were those moms when I was growing up? LOL!

I hope that the media does not ruin her mother's name. Her mother is a outstanding woman and has help so many young kids. It is very sad to see a grown woman provide alcohol to young kids. It is even worse when her actions can affect other family members. Her mother should not be treated negatively because of her daughters foolish ways.

Maybe she is just plain stupid, a drunk herself or both.

Why would you punish your kids by pulling them out for her actions? I seriously doubt she'll be involved with the Association any longer.
Seems like she's another case of a parent wanting to be a "friend" instead of a parent.

What the H--- is wrong with her, she is very lucky her actions did not turn into something terrible,She needs to face the responsibility of her actions, I agree that this has nothing to do with PYFCA, and Im sure they are going to take there own action,its not right to pull your children from this activitiy, it is the parents responsibility to keep track of where there children are and who they are with, what are they doing when there are with there friends, and to educate them about drinking, and what can happen as a result of underage drinking.

i don't really know this situation. When I was a teen, my parents only took a drink at Christmas so they made no big deal out of it. The kids usually hung out at my house and my parents would actually ask me if I wanted to taste it. I always said "Yuk, No!!". I am a woman now and I don't have children. I know the other parents in the neighborhood made big deals out of everything and some of the kids were sneaking around and lying to their parents about everything. I pretty much stayed a goody, goody and I think their way paid off. I don't know this woman's motivation. Letting someone taste something and buying them six-packs is two different things. People should really get the whole story before they comment. My parents were always telling me the consequences of doing whatever also. That probably made a big difference in my life.
