As told to me by someone close to Tabitha.

Prior to taking Tabitha to the "party" at Natasha Graham's residence, Ronald Hartfield assaulted Tabitha's cousin in a dispute over a bulldog that belonged to the cousin and that Ronald wanted for himself. Ronald was very intoxicated when the cousin refused to give him the dog, so Ronald beat him severely and stole the dog. The cousin pressed charges.

Tabitha may have still been on crutchers because of the broken foot she had endured as a result of the last beating by Ronald. Broken bones (shoulders, foot) leave medical records.

Tabitha, a small 98 lb woman was strangled to death and was wearing a dog collar and leash or a dog chain when found in a shallow grave a week after Ronald stole the dog and one day prior to her 24th birthday.

As told to me by someone close to Tabitha.

Natasha Graham had previously lived in Natchez, MS with a black man. She has several children by him. Tabitha's stepfather, Reece Miller, had once brought Natasha's father to Natchez and dropped him off at her residence with the black man.

Natasha was also taking care of other children that she claimed to have custody of who lived with her at the residence where Tabitha was murdered. Where are Natasha's children and the children she had under her care at the time of the murder? Were the children there during the party and did they witness the murder of Tabitha Hartfield? Was her father there? He lived there with Natasha.

the two charged with Tabitha's murder. The last I heard, the husband has not been charged, but is in jail charged with assault and resisting arrest.

What happened to the bulldog or bulldogs? I don't know if there was one or two. The cousin should call the Humane Society. His dogs were stolen and he was beaten by the thief. The humane society may charge Ronald Hartfield and give him a worse penalty than if he were charged with murder.

From what I've heard, Ronald's uncle is the judge in Purvis and his mother works in the court, so is there any possiblity that he will ever be punished for his role in Tabitha's death? He's gotten out of many other arrests. If he didn't help murder her, where was he when she was being murdered? Why didn't he stop the murder? Why did he have to have his car pulled from the wooded area where Tabitha's body was found in a shallow grave? Why is there no police tape surrounding Natasha's residence? Why is there no real investigation being done? Tabitha's family should call the FBI and tell them the whole story and ask them to investigate.

He may have enough pull to keep him from being charged.

My heart goes out to Tabitha's mother and children. May God bless each of them and give them the strength to get through this terrible ordeal.

Americans really shouldn't fear terrorist abroad when our greatest fear should be of neighbors or spouse. Each day we read about another victim, and most of the time, it turns out that their lives were taken by someone they knew or loved.

Yesterday I learned from Mr. Miller that the bi-racial children under Natasha Graham's care did not belong to the black man whom she had lived with in Natchez. He said that he didn't know who their parents are, and that she was just taking care of them for someone else. She had already had her children prior to becoming involved with the black man whom she lived with in Natchez and they did not have any children together. But all 5 children were there the night of the murder, along with Natasha's father. She took them to the coast and left them with someone after the murder prior to her arrest.

Mr. Miller said that the police did not block off the yard, or the house, and many have trampled thru there to have a look and to see the grave site in the woods. The police haven't even looked at the vehicle that Tabitha wrecked and got stuck in the mud when she attempted to escape Natasha's residence. Ronald Hartfield pulled it out of the mud with a borrowed 4 wheel drive and towed it to his grandparents the day after her murder. Tabitha's grandmother saw him in a 4 wheel drive pickup when he came to his and Tabitha's trailer, which is parked on her land, to grab some clothing, the day after the murder.

Joseph Ronald Hartfield is a convicted felon having served time in Mississippi prior to meeting Tabitha and had just gotten out when they met. Since they married, he has been arrested 19 times, but the cases never make it to court. Once he was arrested for assaulting Tabitha and her mother (Cindy Miller), assaulting the police officer who answered the call, resisting arrest, and for having weapons in his posession, but like all the other cases that one too never made it to court.

Is Ronald Hartfield above the law?

I have a question for Milkyway, If Natasha did live with a black man, What does that have to do with her murdering Tabitha? In your posts you say, "as told to me", so you have no first hand knowledge, yet you go on and on about these people. This murder happened less than 3 miles from my home, I had known Tabitha since she was a child, as well as her whole family. The ONLY people that truly know what happened that night, are the Tabitha and the murderers. Tabitha can't speak for herself and the others will only cover their own a**. The total truth will never be known.

Tabitha's Mother and Grandmother didn't kill her! They may have tried to control her but I think it was all ment to help her. I went to the wake and had wondered if I would be welcome. I went for Tabitha and the friendship we had. Her whole family was very nice. I got hugs from ones who I thought wouldn't have wanted me there. I saw no guards there and no one being turned away. If I am not mistaken, some of Ronald's relatives were there even. Your son should have gone, even if just for a quick good by.

How can Ronald walk free?! He and Tabitha went together to drop their children off with Tabitha's relatives the night of Ronald's birthday. Later her cousin reports the dog theft and beating at his house. The same night Ronald falls alseep/passes out on Tasha's sofa with Tabitha at the house. When he wakes up she isn't there. He doesn't file a missing person report, doesn't go looking for her. Doesn't come back for his kids. Doesn't give a shit what went with the wife!! I don't understand why he isn't a prime suspect. He didn't look for her because he knew where she was. When Tabitha's Grandmother ask Ronald were was Tabitha, he looked away and said "she hit me first" What kind of an answer is that! Has this guy not violated his parol over and over again. Why isn't he being picked back up.

i never said tabatha's mother or grandmother killed her. i just know how they were with tabatha and with my son they never approved of my son and her friendship they went as far as to try to have me put in jail once when tabatha ran away from home but despite all of that when she could she always found her way back to my son they were really good friends a lot of days she was here on my porch with her two kids always laughing and having a great time i know he misses her and it never should have happened.you may have been welcomed at the wake but i know some of her friends were turned away only because they also knew ronald i also know ronald was mean to tabath but she cared about him cause she always went back . my heart goes out to the kids of all involved

Tabitha didn't deserve what she went thru with him, and what he had for her was not love...you don't treat people you love the way he treated her. Two months later, he's already living with another woman...

rdnk girl what's your living 3 miles down the road got to do with the murder...unless you were there?

No, Tabitha did not deserve what happened to her.
And no, I was not there. My point is, it happened in my community and I've heard all types of stories of the events that took place, but until the facts come out, hopefully in court, it's GOSSIP. The children and family are going to be the ones hurt when they hear these things. I can not imagine what Tabitha's family is going thru.
But I'm sure the Gossip doesn't help any.

The only reason I mentioned the black man is because I thought the kids were his. And I thought that someone needed to inform the parents of the children, under Natasha's care, that she had been incarcerated. I don't know the man's name, and that's why I used black man to discribe him. I wasn't intending to gossip, but was trying to inform the police, fbi, or news people reading this page, of the information as I had been told. There really needs to be an investigation into many aspects of this case. For one, child welfare should investigate why Natasha had other people's children under her care, if she was mentally disabled, and also, they should investigate whether or not her kids are in danger. And they may be investigating, but there hasn't been any news updates regarding this case. The police should also check and see if Natasha has an arrest record in Natchez, Meadville, or surrounding areas.

I think Natasha should also be informed that Ronald has moved on.

She always went back because he threatened to kill her and the kids if she didn't, and also her family.

You should have phoned her mother and told her she was at your house just as a common courtesy to let her mother know she was ok.
