WTH....Ya go to a ER to sit for hours, only to be told that your condition is very bad, but not a thing they can do there......but let you sit for hours , then transfer you...then send you a bill for over 2k...it is just and embarrasing situation. people need to pull their head out and demand better healthcare. Maybe someone else needs to put in a hospital there and run the death trap out of business

Maybe someone else needs to put in a hospital there and run the death trap out of business the new hospital on PP at copper top is open now. I'm pretty sure they have an ER, but for now it's only got three bed, but it's a start and although I haven't been there competition is what this town needs. Plus they plan on making it bigger but have to wait for city approval or something like that. Not 100% on the details !!

Dumbasses. It's not the hospital. It's the doctors. Doctors dont make a hospital. They are the ones that piss you off, not the hospital in general.

Ive been to the new ER on PP and they were great! Hopefully won't need an ER again soon but if I do, it will be there. Treated very nicely, short wait time.

They saved my life. Neither I nor my family have any complaints. Within 15 minutes I was in the cath lab . I am already back to work, feeling fit as a fiddle! I agree, I have set in the waiting room with morons who did not have an even close to "emergency". If your child has a broken bone please go on to Cape, there are no pediatric orthopedic doctors in PB. I imagine morons will soon clog up BRMC(Coppertop) soon enough.

The hospital in Doniphan does a great job of stabilizing heart patients too. Our choice is Doniphan for triage and stabilization and then a helicopter ride to Cape. Ol' Lucy Lee is a germ infested death trap.

PBRMC. won't hire anybody from Doniphan,or outside the PoplarBluff area unless it is for menial work. They want cheap cheap and no experience, that is why the care is so bad.

I know people who work there who live in Fisk, and Maynard,Ar..and by no means are they doing "menial"work...I'm talking nurses, lab techs, and respiratory therapists. I have also been an inpatient quite a few times due to chronic illness and have always had good care.I admit the ER staff(most of them) seem to have forgotten that without patients they would have no jobs. They do need a lesson in compassion and kindness.

What's wrong with praying for the best in what you already have? God knows how to clean house, but if you don't care, then why should he? Sometimes, it takes more than a few people to move a big mountain. We have a beautiful hospital now, so make the best of it. Pray for God's intervention! We are told to pray and lift up others.

Opening soon!! Nice hospital with same crappy nurses and docs. What a waste. Staff or Nurses need to leave drama at home!!! No one there wants to see you talking, texting, whining, crying, or standing in corner gossiping or rolling your ugly eyes, anyone there wants a stable nurse who is concentrating on their job and why they are there!

You're going to get that at a lot of places. Take a trip to family services and sit out in the waiting room. Keep your ears tuned to what the workers are saying about the people who come there. Some of the hospital wings are worse than others. You be the judge.

I think when your at a hospital and someone's life is in your hands... Then you bringing outside drama in or crying or whining or gossiping about others then your not focusing on what you should be. And I know it's at all places.

You know it is funny every place I have ever been the hospital the next town over was always better... There should be a study... Lol

Perhaps someone should do a study on how many deaths and near deaths each floor has as compared to other same size hospitals. Each worker should be graded on a comparitive scale of 1 to 10 and if they don't cut it, OUT! Some of them are barely making it and the others are covering for them because they know if they are let go, then in many cases it will be weeks before they are replaced. Or not at all. Used to, the nurses were very professional. Now it's nothing to hear one cursing another worker.

Nurses are quitting on every floor, to get off the Hindenburg before it opens. They only hire 2 year nurses, so this hardly matters. Stay healthy is your best bet...

Is it true that the old building will be used for psych patients? Will they have adolescent and geriatrics too? How many beds will they have?
