Hey Barni. You still here? I sent you an e-mail - guess it's my turn to mail you a paper letter. I see Dave H every once in a while. I stay in touch with Phil C second hand through friends. Another member of Country Heir was Don Young - he's out in Ariz I believe.

Hey Grunion. It's Marshall and I know where I am. Living in Poplar Bluff and wishing I could play more music. Got pretty good at the Blues Guitar. Have some sad news though...we lost Butch Smith a few years ago...took his own life. Such a loss. I think Butch was the most talented, natural musician I ever played with in my life. We all miss him very much... Grunion wrote: Where did everybody go? I know where I am. I know where Kelly Long is. I think Bill Garrett is still in Poplar Bluff. Steve Hicks went to St. Louis, I think. So did Roger Moore. Richard Yarbrough (great singer!) went to work as an EMT. Tom Bloodworth is retired from Shivelbine's in Cape. Chuck White? Ron and Rick Emerson are both dead, aren't they. Scotty Scott is. What's Marshall Shain up to these days? Rick Green? So many names, I can't remember them all! John Sousan? Steve Crawford? Who am I forgetting? Bob Runyon and Phil Croy are playing a gig together this Saturday night somewhere deep in the Ozarks. Butch Smith? Does anybody remember when Tom Bloodworth, Kelly Long, Bill Garrett, Ronnie Williams and my humble self played together? That was one helluva band!

Guy Ivester wrote: <quoted text> I played in a country band with James Prince. He somehow miraculously used an Echoplex to make his guitar sound like a pedal steel. He lived to "swang." He wanted me to take off to Texas with him and roam the state looking for places to play "swang." But that just wasn't my "thang." If anybody knows anything about what became of him after 1980 I'd be obliged to hear it. I'm wondering if this is the same James Prince that I dated back in the late 50's.......He was a fantastic guitar player (picker). It would be interesting to know what happened to him also.

Hey Phil, Don & Guy: Wasn't Fat Hat a half decent band? This is your old truck driver/drummer, Paul, still in KC. I'm retired now with a company pension ready to start the band up again. What was the song that led into Java Blues?
