I was told there is one or more animal research centers around PB. Is this true? My neighbor's Boxer was stolen and she was told it was probably sold at one of these.

More like your neighbor lets her dog sit outside barking all day or night or both, and another neighbor showed initiative, took the goddam thing out of her yard, and drove it out into the woods or to the lake and dropped it off. KEEP YOUR STUPID BARKING DOGS INSIDE AND THEY DON'T DISAPPEAR!!

KEEP YOUR STUPID BARKING DOGS INSIDE AND THEY DON'T DISAPPEAR!! WTF is YOUR problem? (1) The Boxer was an indoor dog (2) The dog did not disturb the neighbors (3) The dog was trained as a Therapy Dog. Of course, you would have no idea what a TD is and I won't bothering explaining it to a brain dead MF! If you represent your community I'm thankful I live no where near. Hopefully, others who respond to my post will have a kinder tone.

Dog Assassin wrote: <quoted text>So someone broke into her house, and only stole her dog? My original post said "the dog was stolen". No mention was made of a break in. Please read my post again. The dog was in it's front yard doing his business. A neighbor reporting seeing two men grab him and leave in a vehicle. My original post simply asked if there was a research center in the PB area. It could have been a yes or no answer. Instead, it's like I've gone through an interrogation. I do not live in the area and thought I might receive some helpful information if I inquired on PB Topix. Obviously, that was not to be. Losing a precious pet is heartbreaking. Having one taken from its residence is cruel to the pet as well as the owner. A $500 reward is being offered for his safe return. Thank you to the individual who mentioned the weekend sale.

There are people stealing animals for various reasons. We need to pray that God will stop them. He knows how. My niece's pit bull was stolen out of her yard. I will pray and I hope others will too. Sometimes, kids will do things like this as a prank.

Having our pets microchipped is supposed to help find them, but not if they're sold to research centers. I refuse to buy any product where animals are used for testing.

I was under the impression that most things we buy are animal tested. There is a huge list somewhere. Some say they even put makeup on animals or try clothes on them. That is so silly, but then what do other companies do. Some things are not meant to be put on animals or done to them. People would be surprised at the number of companies that actually do test on animals.

Then you certainly must not take advantage of virtually any medical advancement of the last few centuries. Enjoy living until you're 35.
