I was still a junior in high school when Shannon was killed. I got the call that night and found out she was either following or in front of her boyfriend. I am pretty sure it happened around Broseley. The next morning I called one of my best friends who I knew was a very close friend of hers who literally grew up with her, to check on her thinking she knew because I knew she had been called the night before. Anyway, she wasn't told because of the time and when I spoke to her I am the one who had to break the news to her. I will never forget that as long as I live. That is the hardest thing to do when you don't know that you are doing the notifying. Anyway, it was a very sad story and it is hard to believe she has been gone 20 years.
