Wondering wrote on Sept 3rd that she was looking for a doctor to get some diet pills, did she ever find one? Ive been thinking about trying diet pills, but also dont know of any doctors. My doctor is a great doctor, but she doesnt believe in diet pills and its so hard to try and lose weight on your own. So would love to hear from Wondering or anyone that knows about a doctor.
Thanks

For the first week I feel kind of anxious (good time to clean your house. I also had to force myself to eat. But after the first week or two it was okay, no side effects.

Did you anticipate losing such a large amount of weight, or just some extra baby weight or something? I'm sure you had to have a physical to evaluate whether you had any conditions that might cause complications? I'd like to lose 20 or so, but no more.

I am pretty sure you have to be substantially overweight to use phent. plus you have to be careful, it can be addictive.

To Do It,
Thats what Im looking for a doctor that will monitor me while on it. What dose did you take? Sounds like you really did good on them, but still dont understand why you would also take Prozac and Phenteramine together? Did you also take the Prozac? Now all I have to do is find a good doctor, as I said before my doctor is great, but she doesnt believe in diet pills. Thanks so much for your imput

I did not take prozac with phentermine... Dr. Young prescribes it that way but it clearly states on the warning not to take it with an antidepressent drug. I wanted to loose 50 lbs., yes it was baby weight and it had been a year and I couldn't get it off. I do run everyday now and lift weights so that's what is keeping it off.

Most docs will only give it to you if you're body mass index is over 30 - mine was - but now it's 25!!! email me at macy00123@yahoo.com and I will tell you the doctor that gave them to me. I don't want to say his name on the internet.

I was prescribed diet pills 8 months after I had my son and yes they did have a serious side effect for me. Within 48 hours I started getting jittery and was told this was normal it would go away. After 2 weeks I was still jittery and started having dizzy spells. While driving my kids home from school I passed out but was able to get my car into park in the center lane. Everyone was ok but I immediately stopped the pills. Everyone has different side effects and its up to you and your doctor to weigh your options and decide if diet pills are an alternative.

Phentermine is an awesome pill to take almost any obgyn will subscribe it but here are a few i know of Dr. patty , dr varma, dr. hoja. Becareful not to get addicted you wont wanna eat anything and will have problems sleeping. I would run off of 3 hours or less of sleep because of it and i would try to eat but i just wasnt hungry. But I lost about 45lbs in like a month so it was awesome

I have been taking both of them for 6 months and have lost 52 pounds and want to lose 45 more. I have to go in to my ob once a month to weigh in and to check my bmi. I have had no side effects except not wanting to eat. After a few weeks though, that goes away and you begin to eat again. You just don't want to eat like you did before. I have had no trouble sleeping or anything else. I do have a little more energy, but I think that is from losing the 50 pounds!

i can't get past the 20lb mark..I take phentermine and i have taken them for about 5 months now and i'm at a stopping point i guess which really sucks, i want to lose at least 20 more lbs..Any suggestions?? Has anyone that has taken them, been off of them? Just wondering if you would gain all the weight you lost quickly, if you stop taking them? I'm afraid to quit taking them for that reason.

My doctor gave me a prescription for the phentermine, but my insurance wont cover it, obviously. Does anyone know how much it costs at walgreens or walmart for a 30 day supply at 37.5mg?

Guest try Alli. It is the only FDA approved diet pill and beleive it or not it is good for high colesterol and for diabetic patients. That came out of my doctors mouth. I mentioned the high colesterol and she metioned the diabetic part. They are expensive in the store but cost half that on Ebay even with shipping. As for the Prozec and the Phen... my friend has done wonderful with hers and lost over 80 lbs since July! and she looks and feels great!

I done the prescription Alli...which is only a fat blocker. What it does, it stops the fat from going through your system. You will eat, and instantly within 30 mins its out of your system. This works great as long as your are close to a restroom and dont care if other people hear you use the bathroom...lol. TMI-sorry. Well neway...it is a good drug and if you get the prescription, insurance covers it, so its like 5-15 a month. It cost me 10 a month while i was on it. AGAIN>>>>great pill....so is phentermine.

There is a Dr. in Dexter....I cant remember his name right off hand....you set an appt for the reason of the phentermine. You pay 75.00 he supplies the phentermine, the check up, etc....he will give you a diet plan also if im right. Let me check to see what his name is and ill get back to you.
