Review: Pompano Fitness

These people are the rudiest and most un perfessional people i have ever met.

Your comments should read the newest, NOT from 2010...
Most of them are bad news. Someone was out there today with signage...clean up your act, have the bad comments taken off!

Since I too have been attacked by this gym under the "60 days cancellation notice" scam ( only in someome else's case it was 90 days apparently!!) i am looking for a viable not too pricey alternative in this area, with group classes. That kind of excludes YouFit. I had to cancel my debit card and order a new pne because Pompano Fitness kept trying to charge me for my son whose membership i canceled when he went to college. Anyone know anything aboit that gym south of Atlantic (can't remember name right now)?

I attended this gym for less than a year last year. I was paying month by month, but I decided to buy a year contract and I paid in full.However, they continue to take money from my checking account for a couple of months until I noticed it on my bank statements. I went back and complained about it with the owner David and his accountant Cristina. They told me that they would refund the money every other week until the money was refund in full. What a suprise! They only refund twice out of 6 payments and when I went back to complain about it and said that I was going to take them to court, I got yelled by his accountant and I was told by her that if I wasn't a "nice lady" I would get nothing back from them. So, I decided to be a "nice lady" so that I could get my money back. After a couple of trips back there with nothing being taking cared for, I decided to go back there for the last time. So, after talking to te owner David,he told his accountant Cristina to get my bank card and refund what he owned to me! Surprise again! What a scam! According with my bank the money was never put back into my account.THEY NEVER REFUND THE MONEY EVEN THOUGH I was TOLD THEY DID!I got the conclusion that they disconnected the machine and in reality the money was never put back into my account. So, watch out for your money because you may be the next victim!

Love it when someone is resting or cell phone talking on a machine, so you go about doing another set elsewhere. Then when you return to that machine, and ask if you can do a set, they tell you sure let me just finish my next set. Rude! They have chairs for you to rest\gab on. Don't make me wait for your sweet ass.

I have a complaint.The owner David every time I walk out of the gym past him at the counter he always yells "someone go fight him" I can't figure out the owner davids problem with me? Maybe he hates me because I don't pay for a trainer.

The people that run this gym aren't very friendly or nice.On a few occasions the owner Dave yelled at me from across the counter "someone go kick his ass" Dave has yelled threats several times.The people that work at this gym just want money.I had a trainer one time there he sucked.Thank god it was free.They suck.the music they play sucks to.Fuck em.I only go there cause its free for me....Love:Tony

Don't sign up for a membership at this gym...!!!!! This one employee who works there is very racist. I've been a member for 3 months and after the comment that was made today about Hatians, I'm absolutely offended. I"m not Hatian but have Hatians friends who would be very offended. He doesn't like Hatians but I'm pretty sure 50% of the members are of African decent or Hatian. Their customer service is piss poor but I love my trainer. Just go to another gym....RRRRRUUUUUUNNNN!Dave needs to instill better customer service in his employees.

I was there yesterday asking for prices and contract, and this fat ass guy comes out from the office with his manager, " what do you want?" and then the fat ass guys says, fuck another hispanic guy, must be mexican" so. i smiled and turn around leaving the place.. racist and naive people..

I wish someone could do some justice here.

I would just like to know how may other fitness instructors and trainers out there have NOT been paid by this gym or have received pay checks, only to be returned by the bank.

Left this dump and went to you fit and love it. Where do I start with pompano fitness- half of elliptical machines are broken, roaches in bathroom, A/C never cools, personal training is a joke (one personal trainer is a sex offender as mentioned above - I checked it out so obvously not certified in FL), people are rude (fat ass dude who works evenings needs to jump on a treadmill), constant billing errors, and I can go on and on. You fit is complete opposite - cheap, clean, have all equipment you need (clean!) and have no problems there. Pompano fitness is the ghetto don't join you will be sorry trust me.

They are VERY racist there towards hispanics. I'm hispanic and that big guy is always making racist remarks towards me. I am anxiously waiting for my contract to expire!

This Pompano Fitness is SUCK...if u going to do ur membership u should read everything coz have more charge that they don't explain to u ...until u find out for ur next month payment ...a lot of machine don't work, their babysitter in childcare not friendly and people working this damn gym are fatty...
