I worked as an armored transport officer. A lot of those guys don't have anything that resembles proper training. Had the guard firted at them, he probably would've killed some old lady across the street.
Everyone likes to be a poser, and have everyone else look up to them and respect them, but they do nothing when the time comes, because they have no idea what to do. Heck, I met Wackenhut Custom Protection Officers that couldn't pass pistol quals. Not to mention the fact that these guys are so underpaid that they have virtually nothing to lose by being in on a robbery.
When I was in security supervision I found out some thing about people. Basically, you're stupid if you trust anyone in a security uniform. I can count the good ones I met on one hand. I found some unlicensed activity going on, and reported it to the boss, like the law dictated I had to. My boss turned on me and ratted me out to the posers for doing my job. It was all I could do to keep myself from going up to the office and blowing his brains out. I still sometimes wish I had.
The security field is number one for sex criminals, serial killers, etc. They like to be in a position of trust with access to the vulnerable. Think about that the next time you think you can trust one.
Myself, I hope they continue to get robbed until someone wakes up and realizes what the problem is, and really does something to fix it. Until then, the only thing I can say to them is Unionize. Good luck finding these guys.
