Rain storm floods Pompano Beach street

People are knee deep in flood waters after heavy downpours. Shane Tucker flooded his car by driving through the scene, which covered several streets, early Thursday morning.

Pompano Beach Fire Rescue said that individual property owners and not the city are responsible for maintaining storm drains because those drains sit on private property.

Seemd kind of convenient for the city to make this claim so as not to maintain them. Imagine if this applied to fire hydrants also. They seem to be located further back onto ones property than storm drains. But when the city needs an easement right they will certainly take advantage of it.
Tell me when this thread is updated!
