Maybe the reporter of this story should check and recheck her story before posting it. Here's your contridiction.

Line 1: A 20-year-old man was shot and killed late Friday night during a large party.

Line 2: When they arrived they found 18-year-old Marquis Leblanc of Diamond Bar suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire personnel.

*You lost me right there. It's hard to put faith in story written with so many mistakes. Where are the proofreaders?

Why is it that when the victim is black and the suspect is hispanic, they're seems to never be a racial motive??? Yet turn the situation around, its almost always racially motivated??

Patrick the guy that got killed was the only black guy at the party!!!! and he started everything when he pulled out his gun!!! it wasnt cause he was black it would happend to any dumbass that tries to pull out a gun during a party for no fucking reason

It really saddens me to hear this had to happen to Marquis. He was a very sweet person. Please please young people stop the violence!!!

Large parties as this should not be allowed in private residential areas. If you are going to host this type of party, rent a hall with security, and no one will get hurt!

Yes I was at this party. I was the FIRST one to make the 911 call. My boyfriend was standing arm length away from him when Marquis pulled out a gun and started waving it around. There was no fight that broke out for him to do this. The reason for him doing it will FOREVER be unknown. Yes "mexican"'s jumped him but what do you expect he was the ONLY black guy at the party, not that blacks weren't welcome there it just happened to be that way. He was jumped for waving his gun. There was a girl that tried to break up the fight and when she did Marquis got up and ran. The "mexicans" then continued to follow him down the street where they tripped him and shot him in "his upper body" as said by police. For respect of his friends and family I will leave all other information out but I will say this and I notice it was left out of the reports but the "gun" that Marquis had was said to be a fake one but no one knew that until it was all over.
I don't believe that Marquis deserved to be killed for this by ANY means but it just makes it an even worse story to know that all this was for something that ended up being "fake".
Marquis I hope you RIP. I hope ALL your friends and family have some kind of closer and for the PEOPLE who were involved in his shooting I will let you know that you WILL get caught. So live your life up now cause police already have a name they just need the evidence and those that want to cover for you are gonna go down with you so good luck.
