Man charged in sex assaults on children

Molest those under age three and you are set free. Let us hope for justice for those that can not take the witness stand because of their age. You are not one of these children, you are not their Mother's...therefore you can not know the truth! I do...Dave Farr has escaped for now through his lies. Not all of the evidence was admitted and his own lawyer bad mouthed the Mother's and kids in public,talk about trying to call the kettle black about rumours. If you want to trust a lying pedophile it is your right. But we families know the truth and still have to heal from this nightmare. You can write and think as you please. People loved Ted Bundy so spare us the drama whether it is Witch Hunt or Earl Hunt. None of the families knew each other, none of the families knew the specific allegations...why would they want to go through such hardship and spend hours on the stand to discuss their private painful truth and suffering under the hands of David Farr. We want Dave Farr off of the streets...your kids or grandkids could be next. Whether it is in the state of Montana or where ever he ends up.

I am a career sex crimes prosecutor. I've been at it, off and on, since 1980. For the past decade I have specialized in crimes against children. I am also Dave's brother in law. I have been over the entire case file. I had it reviewed by another career child sex crimes prosecutor. Like me, she is as saddened and outraged by the mishandling of this investigation and prosecution which has injured my family and yours. As it has in the past, the County Attorney's office has damaged
the community. Either they don't know how to do these cases, or they have other agendas. Or both. I have put molesters in prison for terms totalling in the thousands of years; none of them will ever get out. I know the science, I know the facts. I know that if you have a multiple molester you do not make a no-time offer. I know that in this case quite a lot of DEFENSE evidence was kept out. Here's a sample. Child molesters with computers ALWAYS have child porn on the computer. They are under a compulsion, they can't NOT have it. Dave had none, not a hint of it, not on his office computer, not on his home computer. No hint anywhere ever of any inappropriate interest in children. The prosecution did not want the jury to know that, which is shameful, concealing such important corroboration of innocence. I will bet you that the Whitefish police and Flathead Sheriff's office both have a "boilerplate" search warrant affidavit that says just that, that they know child molesters have child porn, and molesters keep porn on computers. In this case they didn't even search Dave's house, much less his home computer. They didn't want the jury to hear from the independent expert who went over his home computer. They kept saying the FBI helped with the investigation. Yet the prosecution called no FBI agents. Why? Because the FBI confirmed that there was no pornography on Dave's school computer. The prosecutor threatened to produce double hearsay on this issue to allege that someone said someone said there was inappropriate imagery on Dave's machine [not true, the expert still has it in it's original condition, and even when you delete material, we can find it. I know, I've had it done and the guy is in San Quentin for child porn he thought he had deleted.]So the prosecutor managed to keep out the computer evidence. Why? In this business the prosecutor is supposed to seek the truth. Speaking of truth, Dave passed lie detector tests. That's not admissible but should mean something to a prosector who has no actual evidence. It's a fact to be considered.
I have known Dave for 31 years. since he was 7. He's not a child molester. If he was I would know it, and I would have testified for the prosecution. If you want to embrace your pain and fears I cannot stop you, I see parents do it every day when I go to work. I had a case where DNA proved that the person accused was innocent; the family refused to believe it. I do not understand why this happens in people's minds, but it does. Whatever you do to yourselves, try
not to make your belief the center of the
child's life. Even kids who actually have been molested will grow up to be normal and happy if you let them. If you spend every moment reminding yourself and your child that you "know" he is a "victim", the child will not benefit. Good luck to you all.

You lie just like Dave. Good thing you are a lawyer because you are not educated in computers. The police did error greatly in not retrieving his computer immediately. Not his office computer, his home one. He was too busy doing other things in his office. Dave's home computer was never seen until recently...and it is sad that his prior fiance never testified to what she saw on his computer. Were you ever in the court room? Even Dave's Father apologized to a victim's family for what his SON HAS DONE!!! You are best to stay in California and have Dave next door. We will keep track of him to try and worn others with little boys of his whereabouts...sadly, he may need your expertise again. Oh yeah, the land of OJ Simpson and Michael Jackson. I just hope we see justice work someday with those who target toddlers. Luckily Dave won't be in another school (maybe Thialand) but he does offer to babysit, Uncle Dave...leave him with your kids,grandkids? If you have any I hope they are girls. I trusted Dave for years too, he is a master at deception, he has you fooled!

This waste of life knew what he was doing. HE PREYED on young boys who could not defend themselves. He choose his victims wisely and he got away with it. No juror is going to beleive a 2,3 or 4 year old when it comes to these types of crimes, they think they are to impressionable and CAN"T THINK FOR THEMSELVES !!! Well they got it totally wrong and these poor boys and their families are forever changed. He is slime and mark my words he will do this again and again and again. Maybe next time when he is tried in a court of law, they will listen because kids are not stupid !!!!!!!!!! Only our justice system, what a bunch of MORONS !!!!!!!

Yes, I feel the same as you. He is not innocent. These kids did NOT imagine this abuse. The kids and their familes are forever changed. I'm not religious, but may God strike him down for his sins... the stupid justice system isn't going to do anything.

He choose his young vicitms well, victims that could not testify in their own defense. He did this and he will do it again and again and again. It will only matter to other people when it happens to their child. The writing was on the wall, the jury choose not to read it.

Pastors molest children. Doctor's molest children. Lawyers, nice looking dads, you name it...they don't have to be ugly and scary looking to molest. Why do you think the children trust them in the first place? Usually because they are really nice and then they groom the child!

Actually it is very common for children who have been abused and a afraid to first identify someone they feel safe with as their abuser. I agree with most of the above statements, child abuse is a horrendous crime, sexual abuse should be punishable by death. Why are crimes against children not taken more seriously, why when a father rapes his daughter is it called incest instead of rape and the sentence less than that of a rape. Much of a legal system does not make sense to me. However being wrongfully acused is also terrible, and those it happens to will never recover from the damage done to their reputations. I pray for all involved that Justice will prevail...as unlikely as it seems.

i only recently became aware of this story. i have known dave since high school in the late 80's. i went to college with him and also worked summer jobs with him for years. i just cannot believe that he would ever do anything to hurt anyone let alone a child. he is a gentle soul. dave if you are out there i am thinking of you and wishing you the best. please find me.
