Well Silence is golden !!! even in our schools , at a staff meeting of the Mason County Board of Education , the teachers was
told they cannot approach Board Members???WTH!! then why in the name of God did we have a election ?? lets just get rid of them and save $40000.00 , if you going to let the Supt call the shots?
This sounds like a Parsons move..
Teachers now hear this!if your so called unions don't raise Hell You don't have a union? and Board Members remember the
Law says !! you are the Superintendents Boss!!!!!we have the tail wagging the dog!

If this is true and we are not allowed to talk to or approach a board of ed member then why the heck did we elect any? If we are not allowed to speak to them then they are of no use to us or the county so therefore they should just get rid of them and their so called "salary" and use the money elsewhere in the county. Sounds like its turning into a dictatorship.

Id like to believe it will all unravel soon, but I know the good ol' boy system will keep perpetuating itself somehow.

Has anyone thought that the teachers were asked to not talk during the meeting for time same? Obviously, this wasn't an "open floor" meeting and the board just reminded them.
Not exactly

Teachers were told not to speak to board members at all, that if they had a problem to speak to the superintendent. They were told not to call them, or speak to them about problems in schools. The trouble is, the board is the boss of the superintendent, not the other way round. Perhaps she is trying to hide what's really going on in some schools.

The BOE only knows what the superintendent tells them. Now she can hide everything because the teachers cannot tell them the truth.

I stand corrected. I thought that maybe to keep the meeting brief, teachers were asked to refrain. Now, knowing a bit more, the request sounds quite odd.

now since this has risen, the PPJSHS has once again failed AYP ! if any parents want to move their child from the Cottrill compound , you can
ask for that and demand that the county pay to transport and dont take no for a answer, and now after reading the Register Paper , WHY ??
is the levy thats coming up giving that Useless Mason County Fair $10000.00 for each year ,Why ?

They tried to silence employees before when Parsons was here .One board member stood up and fought against it and it was dropped then for the past few years they have tried to pass this policy and the same board member fought against it several times and it was dropped.Only to be brought back after he left office.. Employees have a right to speak to elected officials.. How do you know what is going on on system if you dont talk to the employees...pathetic and sad..
