Who to vote for, Obama, RJP, BW, RS, FBC

If you would re-elect Obama, then you will probably vote for RJP, BW, RS, and FBC
They all are working together

I think you're right I have heard that Bud Williams which would stand for BW is backing Ronnie Joe I heard he bought his signs and I know that they are both supporting the superintendent that Williams are always up at the office

Maybe Obama will invite BW to Washington since he is doing such a fantastic job running RJP's campaign!

To being honest...when you run for school board, you have supporters and haters. To being honest....having supporters does not mean that you take their money or let them run your campaign just cause some fool says he did. Have you had a conversation with RJP and made your own conclusion about him instead of what you think is going on? A toast to...being honest!

To all who think you "know" who RJP is...contact him. Have a conversation with him and then make your own opinion. Find out for yourself who he supports and who he doesn't. What his views are and where he stands.

It's not him, it's the others, BW and RS and PS that are behind him so that if he were to win, they would get what they want, because they will not get their way with Farley winning

I do know that Rjp didn't even know who BW even was till recent school board meetings. Just because not so favorable people say they will vote for RJP doesn't mean that RJP isn't a parent of kids that go to Pocola , and that he doesn't want whats best for his kids and ours. I believe that RJP has good christian values and is a big boy that can have beneficial ideas and suggestions . I personally don't mind your opinion or any others, but putting all these men in the same sentence just isn't equal by far. And thank you Be Honest for saying that its to keep BW from getting his way... instead of RJP being a parent that cares.

Christina, You don't know me but I Have Been There. BW IS behind RJP because BW wants control of the school AGAIN. He doesn't have a dog in the race but he can stand up and talk crap about administrators and teachers in a school board meeting. The only way he can get what he wants is to manipulate others. That has been proven in past elections. Two people on the city council was hand picked by BW and the same has gone on at the water board.

We all need to realize this town, this school, our churches, and kids (most importantly) are fighting like dogs and cats over one person with one agenda. TUMBLING

and by the way, tony n would be running had the members at FBC not talk rpj into running. i hope and pray FARLEY WINS!!!!!!!!

I don't disagree with you about BW. and maybe thats why i am standing up for RJP because he is nothing like BW. and yes I am aware that Tony would be running but I know that rjp and tony talked and decided together who would run because they didn't want to run against each other. Just a question, would Tony be compared to obama and BW if he were running? or would you support him?

I don't know Tony. I probably wouldn't vote for Tony because of his association with the FBC. Sad huh. But very true. When politics enters the pulpit there is something very wrong with that. There are some very good people at FBC who have been misled for personal gain.

Just not sure why you brought up Tony in the first place if you don't know him...
And when did going to a church turn in to a bad thing? RJP and his family started FBC less than a year ago...and I bet....that they did it just for political reasons...don't you.... lmao FBC, BW, RS, and President Obama made RJP run for school board! What a freakin' scandal! Now really...Whatever.

I don't think God intended for politics to be brought into the Church (any Church) Tony was mentioned because of the Church issue. I go to Church and my pastor doesn't talk politics from the pulpit. Again I will say, kids are fighting, people in the community are fighting, people in Church are not happy because of the politiccs, and if you and I were to ever meet we would probably argue also. It doesn't matter to most that all this is because of one man. He and others from that church will have to answer to the Good Lord for USING the church for their political agenda

I have been following this thread, at times with amusement and at times with a sense of sadness.

It seems like the majority of the current thoughts, on this particular thread, are it is better to keep 3 people from getting "their way" than it is for every child that attends our Schools from having the opportunity to get a non partisanship education.

BW is an older man, he doesn't run the schools - even if he wanted to, he still doesn't run the schools. RS resigned, so he is a moot point. PS, I don't see how he factors in - so in the big picture how does he matter in this election?

To me what matters is some solidarity among the adults involved. I just don't see how anyone can expect our children to thrive when they're surrounded by chaos.

And the closer the election gets, the more chaotic things seem to be. People should be voting their own conscience and not tarring one candidate, or the other, based on what they think would make 2 people - out of an entire town 2 people - happy.

This election should be about the kids and the direction our School needs to be going - worrying what would make 2 people happy is beyond silly.

He resigned, but he has no intention of leaving. Guys This man is the worst person to ever be employed at school. Does rjp back RS? I do know the cheerleading coaches have been allowed to do whatever they want and their team with no consequences for their bad behaviors!! What kind of coaches allow bullying? None other than cheer/tumbling who watches these kids during their hour of practice? Nobody! They are permitted to do what they want sgain. Teachers are allowed to post negative things to coaches,teachers, and even students without again any punishments! Please pack and go immediately. RS CG CS JB let us have a better school without you and a healthier brighter future

PM: How do you know RS has no intention of leaving? The paper said he is looking for a better job in a different place. I also feel compelled to say I don't see how he could be the absolute worst when we had one before him that was an accused child molester.

I personally don't know JF and I don't know or care who he is "backing". This Election isn't a sporting event, it should be about what's best for our Schools and our children and in a better world that's ALL it would be about.

I personally don't know RJP either, but I sincerely doubt he is "backing" anyone, especially when one considers there's no Superintendent left to back - then factor in the paper said RJP has 4 children, under 10 years old - I doubt he has time to play political games. Another thought that keeps running through my mind, I read that RJP is a full time employee at the 188th National Guard base, he is serving our country - yet he is being drug through the mud for wanting to try and serve our community.

We also have a Town Trustee in the 188th, he's deployed to Iraq at this time, and I've been happily amazed to see the Town Board be able to continue business without him and without trying to call an Election to fill his seat. He is getting major support from the Community for his military service. So, I wonder why another Military man is getting completely trashed over things he has no control over? I also wonder where is our Community's sense of supporting our Military personnel in this case?

I've said before I know neither Candidate and attend none of the Churches being mentioned, this leaves me with the ability to look at things from a different perspective. Somehow I just don't think Jesus would appreciate any Church or any Believer being treated unkindly in the name of Eastern Oklahoma's well known bloodsport politics.

As to what kind of Coaches allow bullying? It does happen. I know a young man that went through school in Pocola that was viciously attacked by another "team mate", he ended up in ICU and to this day endures permanent damages and 2 Pocola Coaches sat there while this happened and one of those Coaches is still employed by this District. This is a true story and I won't name names, but could prove this if I were so inclined.

As to RS CG CS JB, I understand who every name is except for JB. What I don't understand is the obvious anger being displayed towards them. Exactly what have they done to provoke this anger?

Personally, I believe if things are as you're saying - negative posts, etc.- certainly that should stop and actually should have never started. I just have a very hard time believing this is completely one sided.

Our school system has been dysfunctional for a long time now. I don't think it can be tracked back to one Board or one individual Board member. I think it goes deeper, I think it goes to the fact that every year there ends up being at least one group of parents that want their children to shine. If things don't go exactly how some wish them to go then the rumors and gossip start, with the goal being to run off anyone that doesn't do certain people's personal bidding. Life shouldn't work that way and our schools definitely shouldn't.

My 2 cents
