The last paragraph says it all and shows who is really pulling the strings at the PSB. Load growth in Vermont has been held in check and is poised to decrease as it has been doing in the rest of the country. It would be a mistake to lock ourselves into 1950s transmission technology, as SLAP said, and to lock ourselves into 1950s generation technology. Why would the PSB want to allow VELCO another substation in Vernon just in time for VY to close?

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Sagittarius

The rumour mill is especially active, and interesting tales are coming at you from all sides. Don't believe everything you hear: there are people who will start gossip to further their own aims and you don't want to help them unwittingly. Similarly, don't reveal too much of yourself to those who you don't know intimately - keep your own counsel.
